How NBA ready is Hernangomez? I have to be outright honest and say I have not watched him ever.

He barely plays this year so it's hard to say. I guess he's not ready at all but you never know.

Porzingis played like 10 mpg at Sevilla and beasted on NBA competition.

Hernangomez is big and strong, and he is a good finisher around the basket.
But he can't guard screen roll and he can't cover anyone on switches. So far in Euroleague he was a complete liability for his team on defense, and that's why he rarely played.
