What are your thoughts on Omar Asik?

John Hollinger said this guy should have been a top 10 pick, do you agree with what he says? and, Do you believe he can become a good NBA player?

You can check the Bulls board, there is a 14 page thread about him there, which has descriptive comments about him by people who watched him for a long time(Like myself). I can't compare them to the draft class because I didn't watch a single game of any of them(Can't watch NCAA games here in Turkey), but he could have at least been a first round pick, I can tell you that.(Very late, but still)

If John Hollinger said it then no, I do not agree. Hollinger is some stat geek that probably had some wacko formula that he tested well in. I will take the GM's analysis over geeky Hollinger any day.

he would ve been a 1st round pick easily if NBA teams werent scared off of his contract. That being said he needs to work on his upper body strength to be successful in NBA.
