Internation Team...How many wins?

stolen idea from the greatest/primes thread...
anyway if you had a team with the best international players on a team would they dominate the nba?
PG: Steven Nash/Tony Parker/Jose Calderon
SG: Manu Ginobli/Peja Stojakovich(sp?)/Rudy Fernandez
SF: Andrei Kirilienko/ /Hedo Turkoglu/ Luol Deng/ Boris Diaw
PF: Dirk Nowitzki/ Mehmet Okur/ Danillo Gallinari
C: Yao Ming/ Andruw Bogut/ Dasagna Diop
they have great range and a good amount of size, D is a question mark. Since there isn't an abundance of international shooting guards I listed Peja and Rudy even though Peja's a SF and Rudy hasn't played yet. I also like the international squads versatility, they can run small and big lineups...
ex.
Steven Nash
Manu Ginobli
Hedo Turkoglu
Boris Diaw
Dirk Nowitzki
ex.
Manu Ginobli
Gaillinari
AK-47
Mehmet Okur
Yao Ming

You forgot Pau Gasol, Leandro Barbosa, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas, allowing you to take off Galinari, Diop, and Fernandez.

And if you want to consider Tim Duncan to be from the Virgin Islands...

That team could also use Andres Nocioni's toughness.....
Maybe Luis Scola's smarts...

Nash, Dirk,Manu,Yao.
That's a big 4.
The rest of the league would just have to hope Yao goes down.
If he does then there is still a chance to win if you are a very very good defensive team that bullies the inside...
But then if you keep Diop on that team he stops that from happening.
Yeah don't see how that wouldn't win it all. Especially in today's NBA

Keep Diop or see if Mutombo would give it another go.....
Either that, or, isn't Kaman German now?

Yeah I was tempted to put Barbosa in over Rudy but I felt the team needed a big SG who could handle the ball, all I had was Manu and a bunch of SF. Pau Gasol was definitely a slip he can fill in PF and C so I guess that kicks Diop off. Luis Scola and Ilgauskas are borderline and I was thinking about it but didn't want to have too much depth

What about pseudo-German Chris Kaman?

The Celtics would beat them in a 7 game series. KG, Allen, and Pierce are too good, and the rest of the players know their roles. Of course, I mean the Celtic team from this past season, which includes Posey. I wish we could have sent them to Beijing.

Tim Duncan was born on "United States Virgin Island"
Get your geography right, school boys.
Tim Duncan is an US citizen.

Much like Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands are a territory of the US and have sport sovereignity: they're considered a separate nation for sports. In other words Duncan could have chosen to represent either the Virgin Islands or the US.

A much more interesting question is out of ten games against the US national team how many would they win?
I remember if you would ask such a question 10 years ago you would get flamed a lot... although the US team is probably more skilled compared one on one I would say this team would manage to win more than 50 % due to intangables such as being more team oriented & versalitily...

I would play Luol Deng of AK47 all day.
And did I see Diop on your list? You were stretching at the end there huh? Diop is a poor mans Sammy Dalembert. Which isn't his ass from Africa? Should have thrown him on there over Diop bro...

We know and we also know he's played on Team USA before. The NBA does like to count him as an international player when padding their stats for the number of international players in the league.
