Euroleague CEO visits Nike in China
Euroleague Basketball CEO Jordi Bertomeu has completed a series of meetings in Beijing, China that served to strengthen the competition's ongoing relationships both with global partner Nike and with Chinese basketball. Euroleague Basketball has already sponsored one event in China, the CBA-Euroleague Challenge in 2007, and since then has begun game broadcasts on three TV channels seen by audiences of up to 200 million. This time, Mr. Bertomeu met in the Chinese capital with Nike's Asia-Pacific sports marketing director, Goro Nakajima, as well as with Bruce Li and Tony Li, associate marketing director and marketing director, respectively. Their conversations provided a basis for further expanding the Euroleague's exposure in the world's most populous country while reinforcing the commitment on both sides to a long-lasting partnership.
