Additional Round 16-men Roster in Bormio

Amoroso Valerio 80 6-8 PF Bancatercas Teramo
Bargnani Andrea 85 7-0 PF/C Toronto Raptors
Belinelli Marco 86 6-5 SG Golden State Warriors
Massimo Bulleri 77 6-2 PG Benetton Treviso
Andrea Crosariol 84 7-0 C Air Avellino
Marco Cusin 85 7-0 C Vanoli Soresina
Luigi Datome 87 6-8 SF Lottomatica Roma
Luca Garri 82 6-10 PF/C Angelico Biella
Jacopo Giachetti 83 6-3 PG Lottomatica Roma
Angelo Gigli 83 6-11 PF/C Lottomatica Roma
Stefano Mancinelli 83 6-8 SF/PF Gmac Bologna
Marco Mordente 79 6-4 SG AJ Milano
Giuseppe Poeta 85 6-4 PG Bancatercas Teramo
Matteo Soragna 75 6-6 SF/SG Benetton Treviso
Shaun Stonerook 77 6-7 PF Montepaschi Siena
Luca Vitali 86 6-7 PG AJ Milano

Reserves:
Pietro Aradori 88 6-6 SG/SF Angelico Biella
Daniele Cinciarini 83 6-4 SG Air Avellino
Alessandro Cittadini 79 6-10 C Gmac Bologna
Daniel Hackett 87 6-6 PG USC Trojans
Tomas Ress 80 6-10 PF Montepaschi Siena
Valerio Spinelli 79 6-1 PG Angelico Biella

Beyond the important miss of Danilo Gallinari, Italy NT roster has its best players.

Very doubtful the presence of Stonerook (90% he'll be out as he already told in the past), even if it would be fantastic for our team given his toughness and BB IQ. He'll be replaced by Hackett (it depends on NBA draft) or Aradori.

Possible starting 5: Bulleri (Poeta) - Belinelli - Soragna (Datome) - Bargnani - Gigli (Crosariol)

Where is Basile? Is finally retired from the selection? Basso made a very good end of ACB, he was key to the title of FC Barcelona and still is a player who gives defense and shooting.

He's not "officially" retired but he said he talked to Recalcati and the coach agreed to let him rest.

In a recent interview Baso said something like "let youngsters play" so i think we can consider him retired from Italy NT.

BTW i'm happy he played very well and was still decisive in the Tau-Barcelona final of the ACB...

After going undrafted, Daniel Hackett is officially called for the gathering of the Italy NT in Bormio on 5th july.

Stonerook should have declined (according to some rumors in Siena), although it's not official yet.

Today the Italian NT joined in Bormio.

Shaun Stonerook (as i thought) and Massimo Bulleri (i'm surprised here) are not there and won't play the Additional Round.

The official reserves called are Daniel Hackett and Pietro Aradori (top scorer of the Mediterranean Games @ 24 ppg)... not bad even if they're somewhat unexperienced.

Bargnani will join the team on July the 10th (he should be in Toronto right now).

Yesterday, friendly match: Italy-Canada 91-69

28 points in only 26 minutes for Bargnani, and 22 points for Belinelli.
For Canada, 15 points Rautins (Syracuse University).
But Canada team was without Joel Anthony, Magloire and McGuire(?)
