Post#1 » by I Feel Devotion » Mon Sep 7, 2009 8:12 am

Let's make this the official realgm thread for EuroBasket 2009.

Tournament's Official Website:

http://www.eurobasket2009.org/en/default.asp

And since USA fans will surely start asking, most of the games will be available on ESPN360.com and the Final Four will be broadcast on either ESPN or ESPN2.

My goodness, the Greeks are drawing fouls every trip down the floor.

Massey is one hell of a mismatch on Schortsanitis. He has the foot speed to take him off the dribble every time.

I thought Calathes looked impressive, as himself and Sofo were linking up nicely.

Makedonija sadly didnt do well today, yea..
Lets not be politic here, ok?

Slovenija defeated Great Britain by 15 today, in a game, where Erazem Lorbek (Pacers held rights) was flat out impressive again..
He got 20 points on 100% shooting;
5/5 FT
6/6 FG
1/1 3FG

Good performance by Great Britain. Slovenia always looked like they were about to pull away though, and they eventually did. I love me some Lorbek; highly skilled.

GB desperately needs guard play. Their only real threat is Reinking, and he was off today. The frontcourt of Andrew Betts, Robert Archibald, Joel Freeland, and Pops Mensah Bonsu is very solid.

Germany is surprisingly ahead of France 45-44 late in the 3rd quarter:

Turiaf has been godly for France today when Parker, Diaw, Batum and others did nothing for the first 3 quarters.
Parker finally showed up in the final 3 minutes of the game, but Turiaf is the main reason why Germany (without Dirk and Kaman) didn't upset them.
Eva with the Spurs jersey in the stands.
70-65 in a fantastic game.
