Plowright has an inside source, he tweeted that Kemba has reached out to the Hornets. They're not allowed to talk to teams right now, even though it's an open secret that everyone does it, so I imagine he deleted what he wrote to protect the team and his source.

As long as the team has deniability the league won't care, they only act when it's blatantly obvious tampering happened (or the owner is new and mega rich like Ballmer).

After the Harrell and Bridges disasters, I'd be highly in favor of Charlotte brining back Kemba in the old Ish Smith salary slot. Isaiah Thomas was good in that role late in the season, but Kemba brings a different vibe that would be good for the bruised spirit of the Hornets.

Walker would be a great mentor to LaMelo - and the entire team - of what professionalism and commitment looks like.

Get him in.

Kemba, the jersey is hanging in the closet just waiting for your return. Hell, I will even find my old Bobcats shirt with your first number on there. Come home.

Interesting that Mark Williams wore 15 at Duke and was the 15th selection.....decided on the number 5 for his jersey.

so, having not really watched Kemba the last couple of seasons, can he actually hold down the backup PG role if that's what he's offered? I know he's been having knee issues, but he fell out of the rotation entirely in New York, didn't he?

Good question.

If he does come back (which I hope he does), curious if it'll be as PG3 or PG2.

Also, based on this, hoping he'd be willing to take a minimum deal:

Does feel like DET and CLT had more cooking in the Duren deal than just picks.

Yes, he's pretty washed. I don't mind him for a mentor role, but if we're bringing him in to get minutes and we're set on it being a short no defense PG, at this point IT might be the better choice for on the court.

He can be Rozier’s backup in order to help preserve the remainder of his body.

You can say hes technically washed, but hes better than Ish and IT. Hed be a great guy to have as a 3rd stringer and not as bad as many of the backups this team has dealt with over the years.

Interesting note: with Miles probably out of the picture, nobody on our roster will have played with Kemba in Charlotte. Nobody here has been teammates with him at all, except for Hayward (Kemba's first season in Boston)

We will have seen 100% roster turnover since the 2019 draft, and will make PJ Washington, Cody Martin, and Jalen McDaniels our longest tenured players.
