PJ is sadly very replicable if he doesn't break out this year. Honestly no one on the team deserves long term money right now except LaMelo and maybe Cody Martin. PJ Washington is the type of player you give a big contract to if you are one piece away from a title, not a rebuilding, talentless roster. Giving him a big contract is a Orlando Magic move. I like the kid, but I'd look to trade him at the deadline unless we are 10 games over .500
I would definitely look to trade him this year considering we didn't lock him up on a Team friendly deal.

I do disagree a little bit about him being easily replaced. While he's never broken out into big time scorer or added a lot of Dimension to his offensive game, I feel like his defense has improved significantly over the past year. A versatile, solid defensive 4 who can also slide over and play the 5 while remaining a threat from deep, that's a pretty valuable piece.

At 12 to 15 million per year, I really like that piece on our roster. At 20 million no thanks. And I fear the number to resign him this summer will be closer to 20 to 25 million.

With the cap going up, PJ's number is probably closer to 20m than 10m.

Exactly why I was hoping to lock him up, maybe 4/60.

I'm not interested in a 4/100 for pj next summer.
