More evidence to why giving Gordo that girthy contract was a bad idea

My freaking God

if he felt unbalanced because of the way he caught it or something and was confident he would miss, then I dont hate him passing it off for a better shot.

so ill give him the benefit of the doubt for that one, the last shot showed he can make them

Tough loss, but still a good showing by the team down 3 key players.

Must make Lamelo itch to be back out there, he would have started some easy transition baskets we desperately needed down the stretch

Tough loss. The officiating was certainly not ideal. I feel like there was about 8 to 10 50/50 calls during the course of the game and it feels like 90% of those went against us.

Another strong game from Dennis and theo. I feel infinitely better about our backup point guard position that I did two weeks ago.

Gordon is being asked to do so much for this team right now, but it would have been nice if he was able to hit just one more of those fourth quarter shots yesterday. I don't really remember him being a clutch kind of player who ever put us on his back and carried us to Victory before.

Defensively, Clifford wants teams to shoot mid-range shots. Well, yesterday he got his wish. The Knicks literally had one plan and that was to get into the paint for a pull-up jumper fadeaway or floater from 8 to 10 ft out. Be careful what you wish for sometimes I guess.

Brunson has the look of an All-Star this year.

22 of 34 from mid range!!! Most of which was very contested, often fadeaways with good defense being played. Nine times out of 10, they would not shoot that percentage. Brunson is good, but he's not that good.

Tough loss, but I was still heartened by the effort. Knicks made a ton of ridiculous shots, credit to them for that. The officiating was pretty crap imo, I don't think the officials were biased so much as they were just confused and had bad angles of view at certain points (like the ref whistling out of bounds when the ball hit him in bounds, or how the ref couldn't see Robinson give Oubre a little push to put him off balance and step out) and it came back to bite us in such a close contest.

Gordo is a bit of a shrinking violet down the stretch, but he did a lot of positive things and the positives definitely outweighed the negatives. Bouk seems to be finding his footing, I still prefer DSJ and Maledon but it's nice he isn't just faceplanting out there like in the first few games.

I can't wait to get Melo back and see how he works with all this depth.
