Re: Bobcats 2012 Draft Documentry
yeah, the impression i get from putting all the puzzle pieces together is that MKG was the clear favorite. however, cho had a feeling the other teams around us might be eying other players. so he started a smokescreen, talking up guys like barnes and trob a few days before the draft w/ hopes to move down to 4 and also grab 24. cho never let any info about us wanting MKG out to the press or agents which is why MKG was shocked when we took him. in the end, cho got nervous that washington or cleveland would take MKG if we moved back to 4. he decided that it was not worth the risk of moving down and losing MKG.

Seth is a great story teller. I love Secret Base. I'll give it a listen for sure. Keep up the great work BB!

Re: Bobcats 2012 Draft Documentry
Lol excavating this dinosaur of a thread.
We had been discussing the new doc a bit in the OT thread, but this is better.
I wish they had focused a bit less on the game flow, metrics of the season, maybe a bit more on players on the team, fans, more on events leading to that season... like how Larry Brown killed our cap and we had to blow it up to undo his awful cap deals. Not a single mention of Lord Byron Mullens in 2.5 hrs? Shame they could incorporate highlights. Lamars lowlights mix from that year might be the single greatest achievement in franchise history.
But overall, they did a great job. I enjoyed, or shall I say, suffered thru all of it. Lol.
It does teach us an important lesson to keep in mind this year, nothing is guaranteed in the draft. no matter how bad we suck this year, don't get your hopes up.
PS... I still love Boris. Lol.
