He would've been a good pick... if he was the 17th pick. A solid backup C or a low end starter in his prime.
He never improved after his rookie year, yet he was supposed to be an upside pick.

He has had a pretty good NBA career at this point.
Just signed with Memphis and is entering year 13.
no, considering the talent left on the board. If your only criteria was that he existed in the NBA for a long time and did cool stuff sometimes, Kwame Brown played 12 seasons
investigate Adam Silver

No pick is a good pick when right off the bat you're struggling to dribble around chairs. Ridiculously good human being and not a bust but awful pick.

Biz is in the middle between bust and good pick. Not a bust because he's a legit NBA player, but not a good pick because he is nowhere near the 7th best (or better) player in his draft class.

Re: The Bismack Biyombo Thread II
Yeah no argument he was the best player we could have taken, but I think we are probably a bit too hard on the pick as a whole.
If you redraft only the lottery? Where does he go?
1. Kyrie Irving
2. Klay Thompson
3. Kemba Walker
4. Jonas Valanciunas
5. Tristan Thompson
6. Enes Kanter]
7. Marcus Morris
8. Bismack Biyombo
9. Markeiff Morris
10. Alec Burks
11. Brandon Knight
12. Derrick Williams
13. Jimmer Fredette
14. Jan Vesely.
Most guys better than him in lottery were taken before him tbh. Like sure other guys after him were better but how far are you going to look down the list to say they were realistic? I don't think Jimmy Butler at 30th is a realistic option.
So yeah, we probably would of benefited by taking Klay or Kawhi a good deal, but outside of those 2 I don't think anyone else was major needle movers over Biz.

Re: The Bismack Biyombo Thread II
Butler, Tobias Harris and Vucevic were all after him.
I wanted kawhi that year, I doubt Charlotte fixes his shot like spurs did though. He probably would have ended up like mkg if we took him
