I know we have injuries, but why did we play 3 players nearly 40 minutes in a game like this?

We only had 3 players play under 34 minutes (not counting PJ)

The Heat only had 3 players play more than 30 minutes.

Go small and bomb away from 3. That was our only chance this game once PJ went down, leaving Nick as our only decent big.

The hot shooting recently has spiked their 3pt% up to 10th in the league (and offensive rating to 18th), but they are still 26th in 3pt attempts / 23rd in 3pt makes, per 100 possessions. The offensive gameplan is terrible and the pace has dropped to 16th in the league after these games without LaMelo.

They are still 29th in defensive rating and net rating is 26th.

Play the Pelicans next game. Zion and Val vs Nick Richards.

Well, Zion has a hurt ankle. So maybe it'll be Cody Zeller and Val vs Nick Richards. Which is probably even worse.

The season is a grind. We got to keep grinding and taking one game at a time if we want to go somewhere.

We need to get more guys in the rotation though. We can't play 8 guys and the 3 guys on the bench give us 13 pts. That isn't going to win games.

Bouknight, leaky black, baily, next man up. It is time for somebody to get their chance.

Was just thinking we should be giving Leaky a look. At least we know he'll play D. Kid's 24.

Depth. Depth. Depth. Depth.

Everyone except Bouknight would be my policy.

I said the same thing about Mark Williams last year, we don't need to tank and have our young players losing games by 20 every night and picking up bad habits. If NSj and Baily play 40 and 20 real NBA games this year that is plenty for their development.
