I'm actually not worried about him at all. His defense is solid, he hits the boards, and I thought he made a couple really nice passes tonight. He's learning and growing and I'm still excited about what he can become.

The drive and kick out pass early in the game was eye-opening. Seems like one thing - or a half a thing - every game that impresses as building block.

I refuse to believe that Josh Green was this bad at basketball before joining the Hornets

Man, I am getting really good at skipping games that aren't worth watching. Dodged a bullet 2 nights in a row.

Josh Green must go.

he was apparently hit n miss at Dallas. Have stages of being good, but then also disappear for stretches of games.

i guess if you're thinking the scoring creativity is coming from Ball, Miller, Miles then getting a pure 3 n D guy seems like a solid plan.

Problem is when thats not working and you need more creativity, he gets exposed.

Yeah obviously a big part of the problem is our offense, currently, is doing a terrible job of generating drive and kick type open shots for the corner three point shooters. All of our threes seem to be coming from top of the key. Maybe I'll look up some shot charts, see if it confirms the feel-o-meter. But yeah green offensively appears to have one skill which is shooting a good percentage on a very low volume of corner threes. There's a rumor that he's good in transition but we never fast break, so...

Really need to get this roster healthy and let them play together for a month in this system to get a better idea of what Lee envisions this offense looks like with a functional center rotation and a healthy miles bridges and a Brandon Miller who doesn't look like the worst case version of what we were scared he might look like last summer when we were debating drafting him.

In the second quarter, the lack of Mann looked like it really hurt. Game was blown open in the 2nd half bc of all of the injuries/generally lacking depth. Micic continues to be a major disappointment.

Just a bad shooting night for Miller, thought he took mostly good shots just nothing falling for him. He should bounce back

One minor interesting thing to me from this game was another LaMelo steal getting overturned. however this time we just got the ball because it was deemed imminently in our possession, but the one against Philly was a jump ball, when it was obviously going to be a free layup. I think if they had deemed that one as imminently in our possession they'd be admitting they really screwed us out of 2 points in a game deciding situation.

I really dislike NBA officials and the chronic inconsistency

Miller is playing offense like he is Durant when he’s not shooting the ball well at all.

We desperately need a forward/big that can score. The team is just so one dimensional. It’s like the Bryce Young Panthers. Can’t throw deep, so the field is condensed and it’s way harder than it should be.

How far into Lee's doghouse is NSJ that he couldn't get any rotation mins in a game with Tre Mann out? We desperately needed anyone that could throw it in the ocean last night and he didn't play him until the final 2 mins.

I actually like what Curry brings when he plays, no issue with his minutes right now. I don't hate Josh Green, but he is just operating as a worse Cody Martin right now and it is hard to play both of those guys. Realistically it might make sense to only have 1 of them in the rotation right now. Especially on a night we are down Miles and Mann.

It could also be losing Cody for an entire season due to injury persuaded them they needed more than one defense-minded wing on the roster.

Putting up 0 pts in the Olympics as an NBA player should have been a red flag that this dude is majorly in his head and probably not a guy you put in your starting lineup. He’s caught whatever Ben Simmons has

re: micic - I thought it was interesting to get another look at him for the first time in a few weeks. It was pretty obvious he was playing very conservatively compared to what we have seen from him previously. He is definitely a player that thrives on instincts and confidence. The passes he tries to make are often those split second, Pass through tight spaces where you're like no no no no, great pass. In preseason none of it was working and he looked completely out of sorts for whatever reasons. You could tell when he was out there in this game he was overthinking every pass he made. I noticed at least three or four times where you could tell he saw a pass he wanted to make and he was about to do it and then second guessed his self and ended up making just very easy conservative pass. I'm not sure what the path forward is because I don't think the coach is going to be willing to let him play through some bad passes in order to get some confidence back. And I don't think he can get his confidence back without playing through some bad passes. Let's hope he can work it out in practice. We really could use his skill set
