He’s good until year 3 minimum lol. We have talent but we’re honestly not that good top to bottom. And we’ve been healthy for 98 minutes this season

If he gets fewer wins than Clifford last year, he's safe but he shouldn't be. He keeps guys in who are ice-cold and benches guys who are playing well (granted, no one has had a good game in a week or two). He's not the one missing 25 3s a night, so it's not all him. How is it possible this entire roster is this bad at shooting the ball?

Just stop. Firing a coach one year in isDavid tepper stuff. Roster lacks talent top to bottom.

I’m not stopping anything. It’s incumbent upon the coach to prove he belongs in this role and he hasn’t yet. Anybody else said that and you’d agree. Besides, I said it was not all his fault — but this roster is ENTIRELY too talented to go 18-64.

Well, I think LaMelo has to decide if he’s going to try and be part of the team solution or just keep going volume bad shooter game to game. No doubt he’s our best player but you can’t lift this team out of the ditch doing this. Having said that, I have no idea what the complete answer is. This team can’t defend with any consistency. Moments of promise followed by gut-wrenching collapse.

When we get Miller back, and HOPEFULLY get real continuity into this lineup long term, the real test will be on. I’m all for a developmental TANK the rest of the way. Decide how to handle any of our mildly tradable assets and be sellers.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Read on Twitter

so yes Ball is a good shooter when he's not forcing tough shots.

This team needs a system or something to change.

Ugly game by a lot of Hornets... hard to know where to pin the blame.

Sure LaMelo took a lot of bad shots, but outside of just swirling out a billion threes he played pretty well I thought.
8/14 from 2, shot 10 free throws, 13 assists, 4 steals, 1 turnover and stayed out of foul trouble.
I think he had 3-4 threes that were just terrible but I can live with the rest knowing he usually hits a fair percentage.

Lee has to find a way to utilize Miles more, whether that is post ups or isos. LaMelo usage is way too high and because of that it just ends up him firing up a lot of nukes where the possession is stagnant. Some of that is on LaMelo, but I think Lee needs to use more guys within flow.

Mark played really well again, at least offensively he looks confident and dunking everything.
Richards played terrible and still had 5 OR, I thought he fumbled away 3-4 that he normally grabs.
Moussa needs to work on his offense this summer because he is fun in a lot of ways but hard to play him extended mins.

I don't understand how we played Seth Curry 32 mins, when he had played 5 mins in 2 of last 3 games. Be better Lee.

Micic was terrible last night, as soon as LaMelo left the court in the first quarter we went from rolling to barely even being able to pass the ball 25 feet away from the basket.-17 in just 16 mins played

I don't know if it is the coaching staff or the players, but we don't know how to build a lead.
If we are up 6 pts, we can never get on a run of taking and making good shots. We just start taking bad shots and let the other team hang around, that is what we did last night.

Until with about 7 mins left in the game we let the Wizards go on a run and then we ran out of time to play catchup.

We shot terrible but we had 22 OR to their 12.
8 Turnovers to their 18.

Normally you feel good about your chances when you win both of those categories.

at least 3 or 4 of those Melo 3s if not more were an inch long hitting back rim and go in most nights this season. at least thats what i remember, i'd have to check the tape. he's probably got more juice in his shot than he's used to compared to the games leading up to his injury

if he's 7/18 instead of 3 thats the difference between a solidly efficient 45 pt superstar level game in a win and getting treated like a chucking bum. oh well. of course some of the misses were terrible but we end up back at the Iverson problem where do i really care if its Melo missing vs whoever else missing

theres a difference between missing shots and being just garbage at the entire sport which is the difference between Melo on the floor and Micic on the floor last night and most every other night
