"Per NBA: spokesman Mike Bass: “The league conducted an investigation and did not find a violation of NBA rules. We are now aware of an investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York related to this matter and have been cooperating with that investigation.”

Rozier was the feature player and top breadwinner. He set the culture here as the ringleader with the Miami facility and hookups. Fast cars, night club parties, and yachts. And Jimmy Butler's.

He always liked to play hero ball and showboat.

For some players, it's more about the lifestyle and bragging rights. So for Terry it was about the stats that padded the big contract (97 million). It was about pecking order, never open competition. He who gets paid doesn't have to bother with consistent effort on defense nor compliance with team schemes on offense. He who doesn't get paid gets yanked the first blown assignment.

This guy has the audacity and ego to accuse an org led by him for half a decade of having "loser DNA". Yeah, under his watch.

I celebrated when we dumped him. And that Heat 1st is looking golden given he's shooting 29% from 3, is a negative asset, playing from the bench and turning into his own sideshow in Miami.

He's a losing bet (pun intended). But we won by betting against this **** loser.

The culture was bad, worse than we thought and I’m heavily doubting it’s not still bad and worse than we think right now. There are tumors that need excision still on the roster

Rozier was leadership.

If they're corrupt, so is his influence on new players.

They hold some accountability for their individual choices, but leaders mislead. Like Dwight escorting Monk to parties.

You walk in the door in Miami and the party is over. You start acting like you're bigger than the org, you're out. Must be humbling for Terry to ride from the bench, but that's where he belongs.

I will take that Heat 1st and not look back. Poetic justice if it hits unprotected 2028 and conveys in high lottery.

So... one of the veterans and team leaders was betting on games?

Somebody better triple check the rest of this team to make sure none of them were in on it too.

Okay assuming this is correct how would this work. Somebody pays Terry to fake an injury halfway through the game so to bet under on all of his stats. I need to go look at this boxcore. Wonder if I can find the game thread for this particular game and see if people were wondering why he got hurt.

id be checking the old staff/assistants/trainers, bunch of lame ducks and probably underpaid, bitter, and shaky futures working for our team, and they could make some actual life changing money off a couple bets with inside knowledge unlike Terry himself.

good for us that a. probably most of those guys are out of town by now b. the nba would pay legitimately billions of dollars to whoever it takes to make this go away if a team was ever implicated.

At least one Hornets player was committed to winning. Unfortunately, it wasn't commitment to winning games.

I am no Cho defender but the team we managed to put around Kemba compared to the utter trainwreck we have around LaMelo is night and day.

Rod's an extension of the PR department. He doesn't write reports or recaps. He writes press releases.

He actually did a very short article but didn’t tweet it, yet at least. Probably the most he could get away with trying to ignore it
