Moussa works great in the starting lineup rebounding the shooter's misses and dunking from the dunker spot and he's obviously the best defensive force on the team. I'm less optimistic about Moussa next to the Jurk-of-all-trades than fats is, but I would be willing to give it a shot and I suppose if that works, Tiddy will see less minutes as Nurkic would take his role as a floor stretching big (0-3 last night though, Tiddy was the only big to hit a 3, important shot too).

The complaining about Lee's rotations last night is pretty weak. All of the starters got starter level minutes, who is Lee supposed to play in the reserve role besides the guys on the roster he has available? Irrelevant of their roles being different, if Lee plays Moussa every one of Tiddy's minutes, the bench is still Payton-Curry-Jeffries-Nurkic-Diabate. We have injury concerns with a number of our starters, let's play them more minutes? Also, the Hornets won?

Salaun in the clutch was an enormous risk. Josh Green was pretty awful all night as has been the case for 85% of the season. Nurk should be C3 or situational C behind Diabate. Mark should be playing back to backs now unless whatever injury he has is just never going to be right without surgery/rehab.

All that said, this org is tanking. They will try to win with what the put on the court but who they put on the court and when is how they tank. Not so much with Lee's rotations but more so with the active/inactive list each game. Last night was a good one to win, the pattern has been to sit key guys on back to backs though and I think if we were competing for playoff positioning instead of lottery positioning, they would not sit them on back to backs.

Anyway, last night was a fun game and glad we got the exposure and win given all of the sliminess surrounding the whole trade situation.

I only saw the first half before bed but I thought Nurkic looked like he was throwing for a buyout , it’d be a shame to bench Moussa for what was essentially dead money for a draft pick. Sounds like he played better later maybe

Nurk looked really good to me, was very active and was an offensive hub.

I was pretty surprised Moussa was a DNP-CD though. I figured it had something to do with the fact that we barely scraped together 100 points and only had 37 in the first half.

Visual difference to me on both ends of the floor when nurk came in the game was very obvious. Actually set screens that make a difference unlike mark who seems contact adverse. That opened up a lot on top. Then in the mid roll when he caught the ball at the top of the key he was making very quick decisions with the ball finding open guys immediately. It's something we haven't seen since Grant got hurt. Very refreshing.

On the other end it was nice to not watch one of our centers get pushed out of the way boxed out of the lane moved underneath the basket.

Like I said earlier. I understand why you're playing mark. He needs minutes. You have to see what you have in him. You have to try to at least rebuild as much of his trade value as possible. But in terms of what he actually provides on the floor right now, he's probably the third best option for winning basketball games. Unless you're just playing a team that doesn't play defense and is going to let him catch lobs all game long.

I'm just not sure much changes with Mark until he actually has a chance to add some functional grown man NBA Center strength to his body. For sure how long that will take him if ever, but he desperately needs to get stronger.

Not playing moose is Criminal and I will continue to defend that position. I would be much more worried about Lee as a coach if we were actually in a playoff hunt trying to win games and he was making decisions like Nick over Curry and still giving minutes to Salaun.

But Moose is still young he's on a three year deal and just because we didn't draft him doesn't mean he doesn't have as big a upside as the other young guys on the team. He should be playing.
