Both of these point to coaching.

Or it points to us missing like 80% of our rotation due to injury.

Take 3 starters and 6 rotation players off of either of these teams and then let's see how they do.

We have been juggling the rotation all season. We are constantly plugging in guys with literally no history with this team and many with extremely limited NBA experience. I have a hard time faulting Lee for that.

Why are other teams 9-10-11 man serviceable NBA players while we're two injuries away from having 4 G Leaguers sharing the floor at any given time?

Drafted as a project, yet a fixture in the rotation.

Peterson must feel crushed watching this kid. He can't point to a single stretch of games where this kid looked like he belongs.

Best I can think of is PJ Hairston?

Oh yes, YMCAPJ authored the Malik Monk eulogy.

Yeah it's hard to say that Lee has been a good hire based on what we've seen. The players clearly like him and he's probably a good communicator and decent motivator. He probably gets along well with the younger guys which is at least a skill in today's world. For the most part with the exception of the past two games this team has played hard and stayed in games they had no business being in. It's at least somewhat admirable that we are middle of the road defensively given the injuries. But the offense is absolutely utterly inexcusably disgusting. Just spamming pick and roll in three pointers over and over and over again. There's never a Plan B. Some of that is roster some of that is lack of talent. Absolutely some of that is on the coaching staff. I'll just say I won't be heartbroken if somehow his contract is terminated this summer. but I don't expect that to happen. I think he'll get another year.

As for kj, I guess he's not playing because he's getting too close to his max games played. They probably want to save those for when melo " has sore ankles" In mid March through the end of the season.

I'm still stunned Clifford made it 2 years. If he can make it 2 years, anyone can.

So I guess, tank one more year with Lee?

We are not serious if we keep him.

I’m going to use an analogy here, support its validity or don’t.

In every endeavor, whether sports or business, organizational leadership is not as simple as promoting the next person up. CEO’s, top management or head coaches must be the real deal to be effective. It takes an innate talent, and multiple sets of skills, plus toughness and guts, to really BE the boss.

Charles Lee has a number of skills…no doubt. But despite his previous organizational success, this is the first time he’s been made the head coach. He’s getting hit with a whole lot of issues, challenges, problems, as well as opportunities to lead this team through them. I fear he’s not catching on. Lee ABSOLUTELY should have went ape crap crazy with the refs to protect and defend Melo. It’s really way past time for that, but he was handed that latest opportunity like a gift basket, and he blew it. That is an example of what head coaches cannot fail to do. I don’t know who his mentor is, but he’d better get some others.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I don't think person 9-10-11 on BRK's or DET's depth chart are serviceable NBA players that would look significantly different on our team (and to be clear, our 9-10-11 guys are guys like Nurk, NSJ, and Seth Curry, all of which look serviceable IMO). Is your point that we have serviceable NBA players and it's just Lee's fault that they don't look like it, or are you complaining about the G leaguers we play and simultaneously blaming Lee for it?

Or maybe you aren't specifically blaming Lee at all, sorry if I'm not tracking.

It seems significant to me that we are just throwing guys together with a completely unstable rotation due to injuries, which is not what BRK is doing. We are signing guys on 10 days and 2 ways and immediately plugging them into our rotation. None of the guys you listed are rookies and all of them have been plugged in with Brooklyn at least since the beginning of this season.

Keon Johnson has been in their system for 2 years.

Jalen Wilson has been in their system for over a year and himself was a Big 12 POY.

Zaire Williams has been with them the whole season and was a former top 10 pick.

Tyrese Martin has been in their system the whole year.

They aren't pulling guys off of other teams' G league rosters and immediately giving them rotation minutes. That's not on Lee.

Have to agree here.

Our talent is legitimately that bad. The game in Brooklyn showed that we had exactly three guys who would crack their rotation. They were more athletic, smarter, bigger, could actually do things with the ball, etc.
