I do think we could get a haul for LaMelo from the Rockets. Would rather just try and be good though. East is wide open.

this was my thinking, its a sign they are going to resign JJJ and build around there big 2.

i actually prefer Bane over Ja, i think they will regret it as Ja declines

i didnt see Sacramento picking Bagley over Doncic but here we go.

also Fox for Lavine was pretty ******* terrible, but it happened.

not saying that Kings are likely to do it, just saying who knows. there are plenty of idiots around.

i would too. F it, he's talented, why not

I bet their asking price is completely insane though. If Bane fetched 4 1sts including one potentially top 10 pick next season, Memphis can't let him go for less than that insane haul.

i could likely be proved wrong again, but my prediction is Ja career is going to decline with his athleticism quickly and that he wont lead a strong playoff team.

so im a no for Ja

I’m approaching the Hornets with the knowledge that we will never sniff any real success in the foreseeable future. We just drafted Tidjane Salaun at #6, this is not a serious organization with serious leadership.

So why not go in on Ja+LaMelo? It’ll be the most fun we’ll have in our entire lives as Charlotte fans

they stuffed up there first draft pick in a terrible draft. it happens. EVERY team has picked their Salauns. im not condeming them yet.

like i said, i might be an outlier with the anti Ja sentiment, but I dont think Ja and Melo would work.
Ja reminds me of Westbrook, wants the ball a ton and tries to use his athleticism to will his team to win. its not enough and will just take the ball out of Lamelo's hands.

Fans on here want to trade Lamelo, a 23 year old, 6'7 PG All-Star who averaged 25 ppg and 7.5 apg because he has an unserious personality and can't stay healthy

But they want to trade for Ja Morant, who is 25 and 6'2 and missed large chunks of time because he was suspended by the league for real actual behavioral issues and had repeated injuries?

Here's my prediction: Now that the team is no longer incentivized to lose because they want to draft Cooper Flagg, Lamelo is going to play all year even through the ankle tweeks, and put up All-Star numbers. I suspect the roster in general is going to be mysteriously quicker healers this coming season.

And I guarantee, if Lamelo was on another team everybody would be like, a 23 year old 6'7 PG who puts up 25 ppg, we should trade for him while his value's low!

Trading all our picks for Ja makes no sense, this is just boredom after seeing another team make a big trade.

I think there will be one team that grossly overpays for Ja the way the Magic did for Bane.

It won't be hard.

Could be Houston.

Ja is such a hard player to fit. Miami...maybe Houston...Washington but they won't do that...no where else makes sense. I think Memphis keeps Ja and JJJ and just tries to draft well and build a better team

i could be way off base here but I don't really think Memphis is trying to blow it up. I think they just needed to retool the roster and finances a little bit.

exactly they got rid of a big salary to prepare for paying JJJ.

further Caldwell Pope is still a solid 3 n D guard, whose been a starter for most of his career.

I don't even dislike Jalen Green, but it seems hard to find teams that are great fits for him given his contract. 1st year of 3/105 deal.

Windhorst said on First Take today that Memphis is retooling and the expectations are that Ja and JJJ will remain in Memphis.

KD is the next big fish to move.

Wow Jalen Williams that was impressive

shows yet again that the best players don't always come from top 3 picks (Kawhi 15th, Jokic 41st), that team success can come via organic growth of young players, and that drafting guys who impact both ends of the floor is smart
