Presumes a tiny trade back obviously. I would have taken Tre ahead of Ace and likely VJ, so taking him here. Kon still shouldn’t be ignored as a strong target from the Hornets.

the 12 people who voted for kon over tre last round disappeared. well, the other 11, i changed my vote to edge tre ahead. but this is a route.

I dont get it. If Both VJ and Bailey are not available, at 4th it means you can still pick Harper (assuming Flagg is a lock for Dallas).
I would be interested to read scenarii which have Hornets moving up to #2. I would gladly overpay if i had the choice/opportunity.

Might be more accurate to have a topic (if there is none) listing people's top 5 (10?) players and do a % for voters between each player
Dont want to ruin the process though :wink:

yeah I went for the best shooter in the draft. also like what ive been hearing about how Tre is presenting himself in the interviews.

I switched back to Kon, just because Tre’s negative metrics are giving me serious concerns about his ceiling. Really good shooter, no doubt. OK passer but high on turnovers, not a good finisher at the rim, below average handle, poor % getting to the FT line, really bad defense. Good work ethic and character by all accounts. But frankly, at 4 we likely have a choice of Ace, Kon or Tre. If some team trades up to 3 for Ace, we take VJ. If VJ is gone, will Peterson take the gamble on Ace or trade back? I say it will depend on the package offered.

Hilarious that Kon lost previous vote 13-12 and now has 4 votes and Tre has 18.

We went from 2 weeks ago people telling me I was talking about Kon too much because no chance we draft him and thread was too long.. to now all of sudden he almost was consensus 4th on board.

So Kon moving up in mocks and getting sent to Charlotte really had people completely flip opinions? Both instances just show how much group think influences people.

I’ve always been anti-Kon for what it’s worth. Perfectly fine #11 pick, taking him at 4 is the sort of thing that keeps you as a 30 win team for years

i think, and rightfully so, a lot of us have tre/kon pretty closely ranked.
the reports late last week that tre was lighting up the workouts probably pushed many, myself included, to edge tre over kon. we havent heard anything from kon workouts, good or bad. so, i think its more about tre than is is about kon

but, there is obviously a handful of very vocal kon haters here that certainly have more sway than you might think.

we are a community that hopefully value other perspectives.

tre doesnt have any haters, but he also doesnt have any stans. he's pretty neutrally viewed on the board.
