We are only like 20 games into the season and we're currently 2 games out of the play-in and just 5 games out of the 6 seed. Not sure that we can really say our playoff hopes are already over based on injuries to Mark and Nick.

I respect the optimism, but I just don't see it. Injuries have put the team behind the 8 ball and it's hard for me to imagine them making a run to the play-in, especially since Philly is likely to leapfrog us eventually. I'm most interested in everyone keeping the effort level high, which has happened, and then building on that with more talent down the line.

I'm not being optimistic, I'm just saying pretty much no team is definitely out of the playoffs the first week of December.

Okay, you're not being optimistic but you are being unnecessarily testy.

You knew what I meant, I gave my reasoning, I never said we were mathematically eliminated or anything. Obviously no one is in December.

Let's see how the season plays out. Of course I'd be happy to be proven wrong with a nice run of victories.

Not meaning to be testy, I just really don't get saying "our playoff hopes are over" the first week of December, or that "it's hard to imagine making a run to the play in" when we're 2 games out of the play in. There is 80% left in the season, it's cool to say I don't think getting healthy will make a difference but it's way too early to just call the season.

Don't worry, a couple of west coast trips coming up should help solve that problem for you lol

Sounds really great, pretty easy guy to root for. The team is going to need him. Overlooked frontcourt wildcard.

It's why I never like including grant in any consolidation trades. I think his presence matters on this team both off and on the court. I hope he can be back to playing by January. I think he's probably crunch time center once he's back healthy. closing lineups of melo, miller, miles, grant - plus one of sexton/kon/mann/green - 5 out

Part of the reason why the front office is sending this group to battle without a starting caliber center is because doing so would effectively put that player plus Diabaté in front of Grant at C.

Sliding Grant from PF to C, frees minutes for Salaün behind Miles at PF.

Salaün's paycheck is not small, so Jeff has to prove value.

The right thing to do would be to give the best players on the roster a fighting chance - fortify C/PF.

But it seems Jeff wants to protect an angle towards minutes for Salaün. These minutes do not make the team better. Jeff is gifting these minutes to Salaün.

Development is important, but not if one very raw prospect is holding up critical moves.

I don't like Grant closing games. I don't like Diabaté as a starter. And I hate Plumlee getting C2 minutes to January.

It's a bailout. Point blank.

The wrong thing to do would be to glaze over your huge mistake and expect everybody to carry on like business as usual, without noticing. Only makes it worse. And you find your roster nonsensical. You gutted the front court and brought in scabs you're sure will give oxygen to your distressed asset selected in the high lottery.

Jesus, I'd rather have Filipowski and he was taken 32.

That story is still wild. Think she was in her mid 20s maybe 27 or something dating him while he was still in highschool grooming him to be a mormon and then he gets drafted in Utah of all places.
