That caught my attention when Kon said it. But KJ said something kinda similar in his interview. I don’t think they are meaning to disrespect. Among players they know SL was NBA lite.
I gonna be really curious how they integrate Kon and Liam. McNeeley was really good and can play the 3.

I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Bench squad all Headband line up at 1-3. Mann-Kon-Liam. That will be a fun group.

I’m still not convinced Kon won’t be starting Game 1.

What will it take to convince you that Sexton is a better fit with the starters than Kon, and that Tre Mann will play on ball with the bench, making the bench the wrong spot for Sexton?

The action ultimately results in a missed shot but check up the off ball movement here and how many screen navigations key forces his Defender through. And this is just summer league with the most basic of playbooks. It's been a long time since the Hornets have had a shooter worthy of such off ball movement. If the coaching stuff does its job and creates some smart plays off of this type of movement that's going to open up a lot of room for everyone else. All dependent on kon proving he can reliably knock down those shots next year and beyond.

Definitely demonstrated potential as a secondary playmaker. But he won't be regularly shifting a defense anytime soon.

Re: Kon Air: The Kon Knueppel Thread
I thought he was a guy you wanted to get the ball to earlier in the shot clock, cuz he'd make things happen as the p&r ball-handler, find teammates before the d got set in transition & sometimes beat a set defender off the dribble. Simpson thought he was the pt just cuz he's small.
Where Kon had issues was late in the clock, getting a shot up rapidly, which he couldn't do at his height & lack of quickness. But that's not what most traditional points do either. So there may be potential for him to handle early, then Miller create late.
