Charlotte wont be getting the number 1 pick, it would be too good to be true. Look at our previous luck. 2nd pick we choose Okafor behind Dwight Howard. At the time this was controversial no one knew who was going number 1 we got unlucky. 5th pick we get Felton if we had picked higher we would have landed NBA superstar Chris Paul or Deron Williams. 12th pick May well he is a disaster look at some of the other players we could have had Granger,Bynum if he fell(thats just off my memory). 3rd pick Morrison why the hell didnt we choose Gay or Roy? I just cant see us getting lucky we are due but i am destined to support perrinial losers Charlotte and the Richmond Tigers.

As for Brown well anyone would be an upgrade over Vincent.Skiles?

Skiles gets tuned out after a few seasons because he's inflexible, not to mention our offensive woes would never get solved with him at the helm. I kind of like the idea of Larry Brown just because this would be his last stop which might check his ego a bit, and more importantly he teaches the game well. He doesn't seem to like young players though, which wouldn't work for us at all. I was hoping we'd get Adelman because of how he succeeded in Sacremento with some relatively young players but right now all the retread candidates seem to have major flaws, and we've seen what taking a chance on "promising" assistants can lead to...

We were pretty damn lucky to be drafting #2 to begin with, considering what little we gave up to get that pick.

As for the rest of the stuff, the only other situation that could be remotely considered "unlucky" was maybe falling to #5 after losing the coin flip to the Hornets. The rest is not a matter of being unlucky, it's a case of being stupid. And to be honest, we wouldn't have been in a position to be "unlucky" and lose a coin flip to the Hornets if it weren't for stupidity to begin with.

point taken it was probably more stupidity but the element of luck is there in that no one could tell how well these players would pan out....maybe May would be a star in LA?
