Why even bring McMinus in to begin with? We could have brought in CJ Watson, Dee Brown or any number of young FA pg's over the summer to see if we could luck onto something and still brought Earl in as insurance.

This move is about 4 months too late.

I hope that Felts goes on a tear (and I have been VERY critical of his play so that is not a "homer" statement) to close out the season.

FO is forcing sam to deal with felton. at the same time this allows mcinnis to hook up with a playoff team. i would like to think that one of these playoff teams could use mcinnis as a 2nd or 3rd pg.

felton had a nice game tonight. hopefully he can keep it up for the rest of the season.

McMinus may land with a playoff team?????????? What a joke, he will never put on another NBA uniform again.

I think he was cut by Higgins, not a Sam choice. And he had to be cut so Sam couldn't find a way to get him in the game. Sam was the moron playing him, and even after he tryed benching him (lasted 2 games) he still put him back in. Maybe Sam wanted to keep Jeff happy so Jeff wouldn't try and sleep with his wife like he did with Phil's

Now lets sign the best young PG from the Dleague and give him the 10 min a night Ray will sit. then cut piggy's fat useless ass and sign a $/5 from the dleague and play him the same.

I also thinkk the Twiggy expairament should be over. The dude is super athletic, but can not play ball

Yeah, uh, McInnis is NOT finding a spot with any other team. Even in Europe.

Nice to have him gone... every minute he played was a wasted one, no matter what your perspective.

When your FO has to cut a player to force the coach to use reasonable rotations and matchups... well I don't know, I've never actually heard of that before really. I hope they send Sam packing with Mcinnis after the season's over so our new coach can have some input on who we draft.

I'm part of the "didn't hate him, didn't like him" group. What I don't understand is why someone has to be cut so that his competition can finally be trusted to run the show. This team is 20 games under .500, you would think that would be enough to force yourself to leave a guy on the floor.

I hope Charlotte brings in a big man for the remainder. Like former King, Justin Williams. But I doubt that will happen. You would think Othella Harrington would have been cut yesterday as well...but this is the Bobcats we're talking about.

It's pretty damn simple, because that's been shown to be just about the only way (again, injuries aside) Felton can "earn" the starting PG spot himself. When we had Knight, Bernie wanted to play him at PG. Vincent started Felton off as our starting PG for the first month and a half, we proceeded to disappoint and were one of the worst offensive teams in the league, so he started McInnis. Fast-forward a little bit, we sign Boykins, Vincent banishes McInnis to the bench, and we suck just as bad as when he was starting, so he ends up making his way back into the starting lineup again.

For a coach that probably needs to win to assure himself a future as a coach in this league, it's not that surprising to see the only way to keep him from playing players he thinks gives him the best chance to win is by cutting them.

Touche'.

I guess I'll just say I'm glad I didn't read "...and the Bobcats claimed Tyronn Lue off waivers"

Agree with the idea that this is a Higgins decision. Not even Vincent can manage to play Felton and Boykins together for extended minutes, so FO has forced his hand.

I disagree that this means Vincent is a lock for next season though, I think he's still expected to get as many wins as possible, he just has to do it by placing Felton at the point to see if he can swim or not.

Also, if we do get rid of Vincent, it sends a message to the next coach-- "Find out if the lottery pg can play pg".
