So I keep seeing articles about these two and their contracts. Arenas is gonna be looking for a big pay day and Jamison apparently wants 10m his first year of the new contract (according to a league source per the article posted on realgm).
I wonder if a deal could be made to get both of these guys if things didn't work out with the Wizards. We already know Jamison would play here, but we don't have enough money to pay both of them.
Would we be able to do some sort of sign an trade package maybe including Crash or J-Rich to get both Arenas and Jamison? Is Arenas a SG or a PG?
I think just Jamison added to this team without subtracting anything would be huge, but Arenas and Jamison while keeping Okafor and one of J-Rich or Crash would be huge.
I guess I'm just dreaming here, but it's not like we can't realistically make a move for one of them.

i was thinking about this over the weekend.... my dream scenario (which is 99.99% unlikely and probably not even CBA legal.
Trade: Okafor (s&t) + Felton + 2009 protected 1st for Arenas (s&t)
Sign: Jamison for MLE (would take lots of convincing but maybe the idea of being reunited with Jrich and Arenas in Charlotte would be enough)
Draft: Center
pg: Arenas/FA
sg: Jrich/Carroll
sf: Wallace/Ammo
pf: Jamison/Dudley
c: nazr/draft pick/hollins
thats a lot of offense.... and a lot of bad defense. awesome.

Just curious why you aren't? Unfortunately I live in PA so much talk of the Bobcats or Jamison are slim to none, with the latter being 99.9% of the time. My knowledge on if/how he would fit are limited compared to many around here.
I hear ya man, also a Bobcats fan living in PA. Where in PA are ya?
Interesting scenario Fats, we would be the Warriors of the East.
I think adding just Jamison to this team though would make a big difference.

Granted Okafor passed up a pretty good extension earlier on in the season, what's he looking for, or what can he get on the open market after this season is done?fatlever wrote:i was thinking about this over the weekend.... my dream scenario (which is 99.99% unlikely and probably not even CBA legal.
