I'd rather have the second pick as long as Minny doesn't select first. That would almost guarantee that we take Rose who I believe is a natural winner and a better overall prospect. That timeline and fantasy roster is sick, if we could pull that off this town would come back to the NBA in droves.

Regardless of who you want, it is not preferable to have #2.

I think someone mentioned the cost between #1 & #2, but to clarify I was referring to the cost of Beasley on a rookie deal vs. Jamison's hefty salary for the 4 spot. You could then trade for say Calderon or another above average PG for much less.

I think a post up scorer would make everyone look better anyway.

I disagree. Calderon will command more money than Jamison over more years, in my opinion. Unless the Wiz offer Jamison more than 10mil per, I don't think he gets that much.

Also, 8 more days until Vincent resigns.

I disagree with what our perfect offseason would be. It would be:

1. We trade Matt Carroll for Chris Paul.

2. Then we trade Sean May for Lebron James.

3. Emeka Okafor decides to re-sign for the minimum.

4. We get the #1 pick and get Beasley.

5. We trade Othello for Tim Duncan.

6. MJ finds the Fountain of Youth and magically de-ages so that he is 25 again. He signs himself for the minimum.

We trot out a lineup of Paul / MJ / Lebron / Okafor / Duncan. Our second unit is Felton / JRich / Wallace / Beasley / Nazr.
Who I woulda took:
2023: Miller | 2022: Duren | 2021: Bouknight, Jones | 2020: Ball | 2019: PJ | 2018: MPJ | 2017: Monk | 2016: Damian Jones | 2015: Winslow | 2014: Vonleh, Napier | 2013: McLemore | 2012: MKG | 2011: Knight, Kawhi

I think you are a saboteur - we should trade our pick for every other pick in th draft to be sure to get No., No.2 and No.3

We had no Othello. This is not a theathre, this is nba.

I live about 45 minutes from Charlotte. I hope the games are not blacked out on FSN here.

Unfortunately we cannot sign Jamison to a 4 year 30 million dollar contract because that would take us over the cap. You have to first factor in the 4 plus million if we were to get the second pick in the draft. And you have to factor in the 7 million qualifying offer to Okafor in order to be able to resign him later.

We could decline the option on Ammo if there is no team willing to trade us anything of value. Ammo for a pick would be ideal. That might get us far enough the cap to sign someone like Jamison.

I think step 4 might happen before step 3, though.

3/3 so far. Well, the dates are off, but who cares. As long as it happens.

Next up is the lottery. We need some magic.

How to get # 1 or # 2- By Henry Gibson of Laugh-In.

Send Michael Jordan to watch the back room operation. Send Larry Brown to be the face of the franchise at the lottery. Old luck...and new luck. Wear Richardson's blue road jersey and have blue luck. Now what do we do about borrowed luck? A little help, please :D

Claw on!

I say the Bobcats sign Dave DeBusschere to a 1 day/$1 million contract and send him to the lottery. Stern would get confused, thinking it was 1985 again and the Bobcats would wind up no. 1. Knicks probably no.2 with Stern covering his bases.

Bobcats take Beasley, Knicks get Rose, and Pat Riley gets karma for taking game days off to scout college players.
