Bobcats War Room - 2008 Draft - Pick #19

Post#1 » by August Us Seazr » Tue May 13, 2008 2:30 am

Several items are currently on my mind. We are down to 8 days before the draft lottery. Things will change after next Tuesday, regarding the type of look the board will have, with so many inquiries about "Who are we going to pick?" or "Would You trade A, B, or C for J, K, L and next year's 2nd?" We are still going to carry this on until at least the 38th pick, so stick around for this. Things could get mighty interesting! Especially if we move up.

Also, we had a decidedly French flavor to our last vote. Robin Lopez won in a tiebreaker, but the regular voting ended with Lopez, Alexis Ajinca, and Nicolas Batum tied with 2 votes each. We need to get our numbers back up. Last week we consistently had 11-12 votes per round. We have slipped to about 8. Come back guys. We miss you!

Now, for tonight. We trade with Cleveland to draft at 19. And the 9 on the menu tonight look like so many Shooting Guards. Hardly a need for our team. But we still need to stock our draft board. At last check, shooting guards are part of basketball teams.... so let's find the best one if that is where we are inclined.

Off the table- D. Rose, M. Beasley, O. Mayo, B. and R. Lopez, J. Bayless, E. Gordon, D. Gallinari, J. McGee, R. Westbrook, D. Jordan, A. Randolph, D. Arthur, D. Augustin, K. Love, D. Greene, M. Speights, and R. Hibbert.

Tonight- I'm changing the entries slightly-adding height and weight- just in case that might mean something to your decision making process. OK-
24 Hours. Pull us in the best man. And thank you for your time in this process.

Mais oui, I voted for Batum. I read all of the raves about his game last year. This is not a position that we need, necessarily. And I'm not giving up 11, 10, 9, 8, or 3 for this guy. Main reason is those pesky European contracts. I don't know any French lawyers.... do any of you?

But, given the way things have fallen, Batum is pretty darn good value. Maybe we have another trade in the works if we grab Batum here.

My fantasy would have us taking Batum and trading him to Houston for Luis Scola.

Rate that idea!
 Agree.
:nonono: Disagree.
  Doesn't know WTF he's thinking!

Claw on until tomorrow.
