Dallas-Charlotte trade

Post#1 » by yaffnc » Fri Jun 13, 2008 3:05 pm

Dallas wants a draft pick. Bobcats need a big man that can shoot.

Dallas trades:
Dirk Nowitzki 7'0 F

Charlotte trades:
#9 overall pick
Ryan Hollins 7'0 C
Sean May 6'9 F

Think they would do it?

I'm perplexed.

Could you explain the thought process a little more clearly that lead up to you asking this question? Was it really just as easy as thinking, "Dallas wants a draft pick.... Maybe they'll give up Dirk for it. Let's see what everyone else thinks."?

I don't think that will ever happen. I could see Charlotte and Dallas get together on a small trade that would get the Bobcats Eddie Jones or Jerry Stackhouse. For the whole veteran leadership role.

But that trade is impossible.

Besides, I think Charlotte needs a low post scorer more then a shooting big man. It would be nice, but unrealistic, to get Dirk.

lol, I'm not sure why on earth Cuban would do this but HELL YES this would be a sweet deal. Not to mention, how motivated would Ammo be playing for his favorite player?

Wow, I hope that didn't get posted on the Dallas board where they will mock us as homers. Horrendous trade... like Fats said, I don't even know if Okafor+swingman+#9 would interest them. Dirk is a superstar in his prime, that's not a deal that happens often unless the guy is disgruntled.
