I think it's totally impossible to tell. I'm inclined to believe that we'll be trading back still.
The only rumors we've heard are about being high on Ajinca. Besides that, everyone we've worked out Brown has given a similar response for. I don't actively want the Bobcats to take Randolph anymore, but he has a ton of upside. Augustin on the other hand gives us a great backup pg and is probably the most talented player right this second.

I'm thinking Joe Alexander can't be passed up at nine if he's on the board.
In reality Alexander is a lock to go to the Bucks at 8. The reports that he grew up in China and speaks fluent Mandarin (Yi Jianlian) on top of all the other news and mocks seems to seal the deal on this one. And in that event...Brook the Lopez gets to be the next one of Bob's Cats?

total surprise to me too.
however their reasoning was that their gm has said that increasing the talent level is more important than filling a specific position (sf). given the draft board the best player left was lopez.
sometimes the majority are just a collection of fools.

seems like between the two most common names in this thread (randolph, ajinca) the majority of people here believe the pick, given the situation, would be randolph.
thank you for all of your responses!
i hope you guys are happier with the pick in the real draft than the one in the fan draft.
best of luck.

I don't really get how it's a "fan draft". You explicitly told us not to vote for who we, the fans, wanted, but for who we had heard the gm would select. This is relevant, because had this been a fan draft, we would've redirected you to: viewtopic.php?f=53&t=783707

It may be too late to count in the poll, but let me give you the take from the Bobcats War Room! Early on in the process, we selected Anthony Randolph.....even before Bayless, Love, or Brook Lopez. I agree with most of you that if we stay at 9, Randolph is the best guy to take.
But, looking at this draft, I'm reasonably sure that the new coaching staff may have seen a different direction and will be trading # 9 in that direction. Whether that is Ajinca is up to speculation, but I'm pretty certain that Larry Brown is ready to put his stamp on our team. A change of direction on the bench has to equal a change of direction of the composition of the bench. It HAS to be a big guy coming in, considering available players do not include Westbrook.
That is the downside of mocks. My five reference mocks all have Brook Lopez available to us, with 4 of 5 have Milwaukee going for Joe Alexander and the final one going for Eric Gordon. Thursday night is getting more and more interesting! Claw on!
