Re: Andrew Bynum
We can't keep rebuilding forever, so Odom's expiring doesn't help.

Re: Andrew Bynum
well ur not actually rebuilding...odom can still help your team during hte season just as much as wallace helped..
the expiring will give u guys a chance to sign a big name player if they are willing to come...

Re: Andrew Bynum
I thought you were offering him up with the perk of having a large expiring.
Propose a trade you'd consider fair that works once Gerald's BYC status expires and I'll humor you. I'm NOT a Lamar Odom fan, but others around here are, so it'd be worth exploring again.

I dont know about all these weird nickname's you have for your players. But how is Wallace's D? Is he say on par with a prince?

Re: Andrew Bynum
They're committed to going with Bynum for the near future, he'll eventually slot in next to Gasol and continue where he left off from before he got hurt (in play and continued development).
Assuming he stays healthy - which is a concern that's definitely sitting there some further on the couch, so to speak.

You could toss Okafor along with the 9th pick and L.A. would still hang up before you had a chance to think.

Re: Andrew Bynum
since this a Bynum thread I will address some of his non statistical advantages.
the kid is barely 20 years old, he changes a lot of opposing bunny and floater shots with his lenght and prevents many quick guards from penetrating at will., he is also a really good passer and has a big body to clog the lane. he is decent at the freethrow line and imo his best asset is his competitive fire.
about the injury, it wasn't a carreer ending injury, his surgery was minor and is already schedule to start training in 2 weeks which he will do in ATL with the same trainer he used last summer. I would not be concern about it being a problem in the future. the Lakers were being overly caustious because with Gasol in the lineup they were not in a hurry and wanted to wait and see if the injury would heal on its own without surgery.
with that said I really don't think the Lakers are interested in trading Bynum.

with the overexaggeration on bynum's knee scope, you'd think he had two microfracture surgery (ala amare stoudemire). as what was said previously, his length of recovery is more of the lakers being overly cautious as they've always been a conservative bunch (front office). at this point, there really is no way they'd trade bynum. not especially seeing how soft gasol is manning the paint.
