The only way I would be ok with moving up the the #5 would be if this happend:
We trade #9 and McMay to the Grizzlies for the #5 and Cardinal.
Then at #5 we draft Bayless.
Then we trade Bayless, Ammo and the #20 to the Heat for Beasley.

Re: Memphis Trade
david lee is more than just an expiring though, he's a damn fine player. if the knicks are offering lee for 5 and cardinal then we would have to offer something better. sadly we dont have anything better than lee that we'd be willing to trade. therefore i dont see how we can get to 5 w/out giving up 9.

Re: Memphis Trade
But if the rumor is true and Lee won't resign then Morrison may hold more value. I mean if you are going to lose a player after one year how valuable can he be.

Re: Memphis Trade
Hopefully Memphis is just that desperate to move Cardinal. How about it; 20, Morrison, and May for 5 and Cardinal.
I'd rather get David Lee though for a 5 pick.

Re: Memphis Trade
I'm OK with the Knicks-Grizzlies trade. Knicks are already srewed enough in addition they would trade away their probably most perspective player, two picks couldn't help them from their misery. Or Beasley if they are giong to trade again. Whoever they pick he would be buried there and won't make much trouble for other eatern teams Bobcats included.
