Charlie Villanueva?

Post#1 » by AvalonNick » Sat Aug 23, 2008 1:50 pm

I heard a while back that the Bucks were trying to git rid of Charlie V...would he be a good fit at PF for the Bobcats?

He'd be better than anything else we have on the roster who would play PF for us.

He and Frye.

Morrison for Charlie V.. Milwaukee might consider this if they really want to get rid of charlie v.
Throw in a second rounder if necessary. Morrison was a top 3 Draft pick. and this trade gives Milwaukee a 6th man offf the bench that can light up the basket
Bobcats still have Felton, Richardson Carroll and Brown to shoot 3s
then at the 4 we have Vill. May,Davidson which should inprove our scoring and rebounding in paint.
Bob--The bobcats ticket sales would definitely go up with Charlie V bangin away with Okafor down low.

Big Slam ,
Charlie V, or Frye Agreeded,,,,,,
We need to make a move to reach the playoffs . Time is running out and i feel like Frye or Charlie is all most a must to compeat for the playoffs. Or at least a liget power foward.

They just traded for d*ckhead and drafted Alexander.

Not sure they would have a need for Ammo.

I always hoped for Charlie V or Frye but CV is needed now more than ever in the Buck's system. They have plenty of SF's.

Frye is who I want more than anyone. He is a legit starting-level 4, with length, decent athleticism, can board, and he's been working on his 3pt stroke this off-season in a big way. I think he'd line up as a perfect compliment to our other starters. But Portland is loaded, and they'd have to send another player to make the saleries match with Ammo. I doubt they do it though as they need an quality PF off the bench behind Aldridge.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

If it's Villanueva or nothing, I guess I'll choose him. I prefer Frye or Brandon Bass. I don't think I would trade Morrison for him, I'd only make the trade if it's a fire-sale.

If you are looking for an "athletic 4" than he definitely is that. If you think he's gonna be a great defensive match up against quicker PF's you're wrong. I might actually prefer (defensively) Nazr, Oak, May, or Whoever, if we're playing Boozer, West, Dirk etc....

I would be a little surprised if we traded for him actually. He has a bit of a lazy/careless reputation.

CV can give you everything except defense. He's horrid on that side no matter he matches up on. Not that it really matters we don't make good trading partners.

This could actually be a good player to pick up. But I'm not sure that the Bobcats could get a deal done. I'm guessing the Bucks would be more interested in draft pick(s) then anything else.
