DID Ammo drop the cigarettes? I hope so, or he'll always get burned out late in the season. Gotta be in A-1 shape.

Obviously not if they continue to play like this, but again, you hope for that "magical" moment that Collins was talking about, where Brown's teams finally "get it." It's obvious they don't get it at all right now. As I said in another thread, the fact they are so atrocious on offense maybe has a silver lining, because it means they are at least trying to buy into Brown's system; if they were just saying to hell with him, they should be scoring a helluva lot better than they are right now.

But also like I said, there just seems to be no rhythm to the offense. It's not like they are running plays and just making mistakes in running them; the offense looks just as muddled as ever. It's as if the offense Larry Brown instilled was "keep doing what you have always done, except drive more and don't shoot jumpers." There doesn't seem to be any direction to it. Players will drive into the lane ..... and??? Nothing. They get blocked, or turn the ball over, or run into a team mate, or throw up some awful shot, etc.

god. what an abortion of a basketball game. that first half was absolutely brutal. it was like like watching me and my buddies play on the weekends........outside........with a rubber ball..........in 40 degree weather.........rain............15MPH wind............and double rims...............no, triple rims..............hungover.............with bojangles for breakfast................and no f'ing net.

That summed it up nicely. And we are 0-8 heading into the regular season.

ammo looked good on offense, but still pretty bad on fast break defense.

dj seems really quick to take the 3. where is this pass first mentality?

jrich has a few really nice midrange moves that i hadnt seen before.

okafor NEVER gets the ball in the post anymore. not like he got it much before, but now he never gets it. i'm not one to scream okafor needs 20+ post ups a game, but damn, give him a few.

until may gets in shape maybe we should go with okafor and nazr together. i know that is not what we want to see, but we really dont have any better options at the moment.

what is up with hammer? did ammo really beat him out? or is ammo getting showcased?

No need for all this doom and gloom...

This was probably the best team in the NBA, and we were doing fine with our starters. It's not a huge surprise to me that the super-deep Laker's 3rd stringers are better than ours.

Your starters were losing to the Kobe/Lamar-less Lakers squad in the first quarter, but ok, whatever you say.

Please read carefully before posting.....
Let me help you:
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/fine
fine:
adj. fin·er, fin·est

Satisfactory; acceptable: Handing in your paper on Monday is fine.

The Cats were down 4 after the first quarter and 6 at the half on the road. Injuries or no, that's not bad against a team that went to the finals last year.

As much fun as you surely have defending your favorite teams honor, you have to pick your targets better. I'm sure you can find no shortage of fascinating threads like Kobe v. LBJ or Kobe vs. MJ on the main board. What part of what I said about the Lakers was disrespectful? Was it "Super Deep," or "probably the best team in the NBA"?

Also, Odom entered the game in the first quarter and played 11 of his 24minutes in the first half. So it's hardy accurate to say the Lakers were "Lamar-less,"

Good thing I never got around to putting money on the game last night. I watched the first half and thought it looked like a bad high school game.

They are not the best team in the NBA, they were without Kobe, and they played a bad game themselves. And we still looked pathetic. It is time to call for doom and gloom unless mgmnt makes
a major couple of moves. No little tweeking will help this team.

Without even trying I can think of two reasons why I'm smiling - and it's more addition by subtraction.

One starts with "Sam" and the other one ends in "McInnis"
