I understand that completely. That was my thinking when i made a few trade ideas to get him to Sota. But i was told by several different people that he wouldnt willingly opt out of $10M. I gotta say if it were me, i would take the 10 mil than dive into FA and try to get a little more than the MLE as opposed to opting out and possibly ending up with the same.

Thats just me though.

My claws are IN for this - Especially getting back a 1st. Any first. Throw the Hornets 2nd if we must - that should be pick 58, 59, or 60 anyway.

If this goes down, no throwing this pick away on anything else but a power forward- Got it front office. Hey, I'm talkin' to YOU! :D  :P

Claw on, guys!

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/features/traderesult?players=1994~2754~2015~308~2753~1026&teams=30~30~9~30~9~22&te=&cash=

what about this one?

POR sends: Blake, Frye, Outlaw
gets: Gerald Wallace

CHA sends: Gerald Wallace, Raymond Felton
gets: Steve Blake, Channing Frye, Al Harrington

GSW send: Al Harrington
GSW get: Travis Outlaw, Raymond Felton

Seems like a winner on all sides to me. We consolidate (which is needed badly) and open up time for Webster, Bayless, and Sergio while upgrading at 3/4 (what do you guys think of Gerald off the bench for 30 mpg? with Rudy and Sergio, sounds like hell for the other team to me), you guys save a load of money with all those guys expiring and get three fairly LB type of guys (channing for sure).

I'd just cut out GSW and do Crash for Blake, Frye and Outlaw. LB would get his 3 PGs with one being a true pass first, a big that LB liked in NY and a poor man's replacement for Crash.

I can almost guarantee that Portland would not send Blake in a package for just Wallace. They won't leave themselves without a starting PG.

However, three trades I see as possible:

Outlaw + Frye + Rodriguez for Wallace (most likely offer)

Outlaw/Webster + Frye + Bayless for Wallace + protected draft pick (less likely offer)

Blake + Outlaw + Frye for Wallace + Felton (least likely)

whether or not MJ and LB would have interest in those I don't know.

Ok if the Bobcats need to trade Wallace they should at least trade him to a decent club, (where I can still support him) like Chicago.

Trade 1:
To Charlotte
Hinrich
Nocioni
Noah

To Chicago:
Wallace
Muhammed
May

Why for Chicago: Wallece would fit great next to Rose. Better than Deng which could make Deng a trade bait. And they also get rid of two of their longest contracts. Their fans seem to want wallace.

Why for Charlotte: Wallace seems to be on the block. LB always wants to mold his team the way he likes. Hinrich and Nocioni are two veteran guys who would fit better into LBs structered system than Wallace. Noah is a athletic big man, with some potential.

Trade 2:
To Portland
Felton

To Charlotte
Frye
Rodrigez

Why for Portland: To many talent not enough PT. PG is the biggest hole.

Why for Charlotte
If they got Hinrich in a trade Felton would be on the way out. Frye gives them a nice PF next to Okafor. Rodrigez is a third PG Larry wanted.

Larry said before the season that he wants a SF who could defend like he wanted- Nocioni(not sure), 3 PGs and 5 Athletic big man. With this two trades he gets everything in my opinion. But I would still prefer to keep Wallace

Lineup after:
Hinrich/Augustine/Rodrigez
j Rich/Carroll/Morrison
Nocioni/Dudley/
Frye/Brovn/
Okafur/Noah/Alexis

Return to Charlotte Hornets
