Remember Martha Stewart? He may not have lied to the Feds yet, so he better tell the truth. They threw Martha in the slammer for a few months for this and lying to the Feds. Don't lie to the Feds! Fess up, pay huge $, and keep your butt out of prison. Lie, and your butt goes away. If jail was appropriate for Martha, it will be for Mark Cuban, too.

Dont f*** w/ the Feds! They dont lose often!

i love cuban as an owner and what he represents to the fans of the mavs, cant stand the guy outside of that, especially some of his views on the market.

not sure how many of you guys are familiar with "naked shorting" - despite the name, its not interesting. its basically when people short a stock they dont own. its illegal and its a major problem for a lot of small companies (mainly otc/pink sheets) companies. illegal naked shorting basically dilutes a stock and drive the price down to nothing. and its very hard to prove, especially for some small companies that dont report to the SEC. well, cuban has long had the stance that naked shorting didnt exist, which is basically the stance of the SEC. its total BS. the SEC is just avoiding investigating because it would create an ENORMOUS scandal. he writes in his blog about it frequently.

i just typed mark cuban naked shorting in yahoo and got tons of results

Remember, it was not so much what Martha did re: the stock that got her jail time. It was lying to the Feds about it. They will question Cuban. Just be smart and tell the truth, be contrite and remorseful. You pay a big fine, but can avoid jail. But if you lie, they will crucify you. Heck, everyone liked Martha and she spent several months in prison. Believe me, the Feds dont play around, and they dont get involved unless they are 99% sure they got your butt in a sling. When they get involved, they almost always win. Martha, Mike Vick, etc... You dont mess w/ the Feds.
