I know it's expensive and all, seeing that Wallace. Rich, Okafur, Carroll, and Nazi have pretty long contracts but:

Would Eddy Curry fit with this squad?

Felton and Morrison for Curry.

Curry's value is no where near the worth of Felts and Ammo.

I'd trade Hammer and Nazzy for Curry and a 2nd round pick, but that would be it.

Curry is horrendous at everything except low block scoring... Hammer/Nazzy I guess is fine, given their contracts, but even that might be too much talent.

Since we aren't going to be a team to play in 2010 sweepstakes, how can we best take advantage of the teams that are? I think management really needs to figure that out. Sure, the Knicks will probably take 50 cents on the dollar for Curry, but don't other teams have guys with longer term contracts that we actually want? What about 1st round picks? The Knicks should have an early pick next year and that's going to be expensive (they traded their 2010 already). The Heat as well.

We really should think about this. This is something that we should be able to take advantage of.

Curry a Bobcat. Never. Say what you want about this teams play, but trading for Curry would make the "Nazr for two expirings" move look really smart.

I say go with the idea that "felton for pres" came up with. The Clippers and the Warriors have already helped the Knicks out, why join in? Especially for Felton and Morrison? Does the original poster even think this is a possible idea?

That's something that would probably appeal to NY (if Jefferies was somehow worked into it)...a Felton+May+Ammo for Curry+Lee might be the better deal though (maybe as a Draft Night Trade)...

There is no way you'd steal Felts away from us for that package.

I just posted on another board about the same trade . But i didn't give Curry that much value.
I would jump all over this mainly because of our duplation of players.
Carroll and May for Curry. In the James stakes Carroll would be in his value years. A nice spot up shooter along side James. We lose no real value hear and might get lucky with Curry .

I agree but who knows what creativity may bring. If we trade Matty to the sixers or hawks because its a need of theirs, perhaps we pick up 2010 expirings and we move those for someone being sold for 50 cents on the dollar (someone we want, not curry) or a 1st round pick (those are relatively expensive if its an early pick).

I don't have the answer, I don't have the time to really think it through. I just see teams that are, in market terms, forced sellers and that's usually where the good deals come.
