As reported it's looking like we are about to sign him. Anyone know anything about him?

I get the feeling he wont be around for long so don't get too friendly with him!!

None of these guys are going to make a difference for us. Mcdyse would, though I doubt he signs.

I know what everyone thinks of Hoopsworld, but they are reporting that we are on the verge of signing McDyess.

Not sure I buy into that one.

as a former wolves fan, I can remember McHale signing him as an un-drafted player to a 2 year deal but then McHale trade him to Boston with Wally and a 1st round pick for Ricky Davis and Mark Blount.

I hope I did not miss-remember this part. He did play summer league ball for the wolves, he looked like he could of been good rebounder and shot blocker with zero offensive game.

Yes, another Ehh big. Thats fantastic. I'm starting to get of the mindset where I would like to see McDyess sign here for the time being and then get let go in time to get on the Pistons playoff roster.

For the love of god let a trade happen or announce "PJ Brown decides to sign with the Bobcats" or something.

I don't really get why we'd drop Andre Brown to immediately sign Dwayne Jones. Can they possibly be THAT different?

I don't mind swithching guys out quickly at the bottom of the roster like Johnson/Brown/Justin Williams etc. Give them a month or so to prove themselves and then try somebody else. Jones has better bonafides than Brown I guess. He played 55 games for a good Cleveland team last year. Looking at the stats he seems to rebound very well and block shots at a good clip, while not scoring (or trying to) much at all. (47fga in 55 games last year)

I'm thinking that Jones and Twiggy sound exactly the same. high energy guys with no refined skills who coaches like because of their effort and their athletic ability.

No need for two of them on the roster is there?

Maybe Jones leads to a decision b/w one of the two? Hollins has played better this year, but if Jones comes in and is clearly better, I don't see why we'd keep Hollins around.
