I've been playing wheelchair hoops again since like, idk October or so. Games are double headers... last matchup of 08 was this afternoon. Nice weather.

Well, that was an old fashion a$$ whipping. A major beatdown. But I was happy to see Ajinca get some PT and actually be productive. That is the only way he's going to get better for us and maybe start one day. One of the only bright spots tonight.

Yea! I started like 2 or 3 weeks before the first game of the season too, so it's not like I got to prepare over the summer for a season of basketball! It's fun though, I was in pretty good shape before, but it's tough for me to be really committed to exercise and proper nutrition day-to-day if I don't have something to train for.

Plus there's that whole "pounding beers on weekends like it's my job" thing to contend with!!

Speaking of which, I'm going for a beer. Catch all you guys tomorrow or on Monday.

(P.S. James Harden is playing tomorrow at 2:00pm. Check him out if you have a chance)

notes from the rafters

last night was the most people ive seen at a game this year, even more than the home opener vs miami (granted i had to miss the boston game last weekend). too bad all the extra fans saw that stinking pile of garbage.

i guess okafor can only play well when i'm not around. i swear every time i go to the games he makes me want to vomit. nice first half there okafor, 3 times blocked, 3 passes bounce off your hands and several scuds launched at the backboard. and seriously, lets stop with this BS about the moving screens being the fault of the player w/ the ball. all our players set screen, yet okafor is the only one who is guaranteed to get called for a moving screen each game. he is sometimes a step slow getting set and then tries to slide (or hip check) at the last second to make up for being slow. if the player with the ball goes too early, you dont slide into the defender to make up for it. that's basketball 101.

i was going to write some scaithing comments about crash today as well, but i'll refrain due to bonnell's comments.

after the game, LB said that only 1 of his starters came ready to play today and played hard. that was felton. for all his faults, i've never seen felton take a night off energy/hustle wise. outside of felton, only dj, dudley and shannon seemed to have any energy.

i am pretty much done with morrison. i may be one of the last fans to leave the ammo bandwagon, but i am officially off. we were excited earlier this season when he didnt completely suck, but lets be real, the only reason we were happy about his play was because the expectations were so low.

i am, however, officially on board the shannon brown bandwagon. give him ammo and hammer's minutes.
