i'm on board w/ the back to the future idea. sounds about as realistic as us making the playoffs. let's do it. i'm sure we can find a delorian for cheap these days.

this season in only 27mpg...........................and who's contract expires after next season.

Plus we get a mobile big and get rid of Hammers contract.

Yes, that is him.

Yeah, let's sell low and buy high some more.

What are we clearing cap space for again? Maybe we can use all that cap space to trade a lottery pick for Richardson again? Maybe when Carroll's contract expires, we can use all that cap space to lure him back for 8m/year, since that's probably what it to even get him to come back to such an awful team.

PS - again, I should read more thoroughly. When I look at those numbers, they aren't even all that good. His shooting percentages are nice, but looking at his career stats, it's unusual for him, which means it probably won't last. WHY AM I EVEN DEBATING ADDING LARRY HUGHES TO THIS TEAM, MY GOD.

No. Like I said, it would be easier to relieve Johnson of his contract to the city, let him move this team wherever, and ask for the NBA to pretty please give us another team in two years, and maybe we won't screw that one up.

sadly, i think the best chance our franchise has at a saviour is ajinca. he's the great unknow. of course, the eyeball test tells me he will simply be a skinny jumpshooting role player, but he does have that x-factor. so maybe, just maybe, ajinca transforms into the second coming of chris and we are treated to 10 years of fantastic pick and roll play between dj and ajinca. thats how in works in my sleep anyway.

I think it would be more than fantastic for us - which means I seriously doubt the Blazers would be down with it.

You may be right but I'm sure it would at least warrant some consideration on their part. They'd be taking on a few more years of salary obligations but Wallace should be playing out his prime years through the duration of his contract.

And from a financial perspective, Paul Allen has never been shy about writing checks for the greater good of his team. If you recall, he's the guy who paid $30 million to buy out the remaining two years of Steve Francis' contract.

And as for the Delorian reference; that Doc Brown/Flux Capacitor/Delorian speech by Brent Barry after the Spurs playoff game shafting by the officials made for one of the most comically memorable post game press conferences ever.

Gerald Wallace just flat out isn't worth an expiring contract right now. 5 years, $50M left on his contract, and he's playing horrible right now, not to mention injury concerns.

And Portland probably won't want to trade Batum + Rudy for Matt Carroll.

Yeah, I'll be the first to admit that Wallace hasnt been playing the best ball this year. Once he comes back I'm sure he'll round back into form, especially with Richardson out of the way. He would definitely need to be showcased for a couple weeks playing at a high level before anyone would considering trading anything of value for him, and that includes cap relief.

And walt, props on Larry BrowDavid. After the Diaw deal, my enthusiasm for the future is most definitely curbed.

Ha, that was an awesome season finale!! Sadly, that clip definitely sums up my feelings after hearing about the trade.

Hopefully Larry doesn't have any of Jrich's clothing on loan, or else something like this might happen:

Best idea yet....I'm looking to bring in '93 Jordan just to smack some sense in owner/GM Jordan.

We could always trade for Kobe, Chris Paul, and Dwight Howard. Then we'd be all set.
