An... exciting development? He can probably play a little, which would make him better than what we have right now, but... yeah. Not exactly going to push us over the hump.

Could be useful...If not, we've lost very little...

I like the way this team has tried different players, Andre Brown/Linton Johnson/Dwayne Jones etc. It's different from last year when other than Boykins and attempting to get Varejao we had a pretty static roster.

Hopefully this is different than we we paid Othella Harrington and stupid amount of money for a stupid amount of time and he was stupid on the court (when he wasn't injured that is)

Yesterday shocked after trade I checked profiles of Bobcats players - there were 14 of them, Dudley and Richardson already gone and the new trio from Phoenix were there already - so it looked updated. No Jones was there. For a reason apparently.

this move makes little sense to me. why howard? what does he bring that we cant already get from a combo of diaw, may and nazr? does he have any game left? any?

players who will have logged minutes at pf or c for the bobcats by the end of the month
okafor
nazr
wallace
dudley
may
ajinca
hollins
a. brown
jones
johnson
howard
diaw

that's 12

what is the record for one season? we cant be far away.

Who is Johnson? I don't even remember half of these guys.

From what I've been reading he is in amazing shape, which makes him better than May by default. I don't see Nazr or May being around much longer. So Howard just adds a big guy that knows how to play. Sadly he may be our best post player.

unfortunately nazr aint goin nowhere. there is only one franchise dumb enough to trade for his contract....... and of course, that is us. we are stuck with him.

We should have signed him and seen what he could do starting alongside Okafor/Wallace/Richardson/Felton before we did any trades. All that team needed to be a viable playoff contender was finding someone, anyone, to fill our needs at PF. Howard might not have been that person, but what if he is? If he can simply block out, rebound, hit an occassional 10-15 jump shot, and not be a sieve on defense, we would have been just fine until we could have found a better long-term option.
