I was much higher on this trade before i looked at the stats - Bobcats were top 5 in the league in defense before the trade even. Obviously their offense is what is in dire need of improvement. At the same time, you gotta give a coach like Larry Brown the personnel he wants/needs.

At least right now, we're seeing what Richardson gave to us. When I said I figured we would be slightly better with Diaw and Bell, simply because Diaw filled a need, I failed to realize how atrocious our offense could be without a bailout scorer like Richardson.

Remember last year, when he alone would score like 10 points in a quarter and keep us in it? Well, we don't have that anymore. Our offense looks disjointed and confused. Wallace is the closest thing we have to a go-to scorer now, and even he can't do much 15-20ft from the basket, with the shot clock winding down. He's at his best when he's penetrating.

Well, the way things are going now, no one is going to ever have the opportunity to hit a game winner for us. Unless the NBA institutes those 50pt spots like in MTV's Rock N Jock.
