I think Okafor played a important role in Rose's poor game but it really was a team work not letting him an easy way to the basket.

Also i want to say that this win is not the result of a particuly poor play from the bulls playting to the level of their opponent according to the bulls commentators  As if Derrick Rose had a terrible showing (worst game of his young carreer) Gordon and Deng couldn't miss a jumpshot from anywhere on the court.

Refs/homeriffic announcers made watching this game tough at times. Is it too much to ask an NBA announcer to follow the NBA and be at least vaguely familiar with the sport? Also, Bad calls on both sides all game. Almost fell out of my chair at the mention of "Big Shot" Larry Hughes.

Very interesting to me that LB left in DJ and Matt Carrol in very "Defensive" dead-ball situations. Maybe he doesn't want to put a cold player in, maybe he felt DJ was too important to take out under any circumstances.

Rose looked unsure towards the end, he had a big strength advantage and is probably just as fast as DJ, but he didn't look confident at all. Unfortunately that's the kind of thing that gets fixed eventually and I think we'll be dealing with him for 10 years....

Our offense should be run through DJ/Diaw from now on, I want to see the ball in Felton's hands less, especially at the end of the game. If DJ has one of his bad games we need to just ride it out, they will come less and less with time. Most NBA 4s are going to be a fish out of water chasing Diaw around the perimeter, and he doesn't look bad guarding them in the post or rebounding. Leave him at PF and don't trade Crash please.

Hopefully this win breaks the seal and we can make a little run...

Rose shot poorly and didn't impose his will, but he did still have 5 boards and 7 assists!!

Great game tonight. Both DJ and Ray outplayed Rose, but it was only one game. I am starting to love DJ but Rose is really good. I think we played great "TEAM" ball tonight. It will be curious to see how that carries into games when Crash is back.

I didn't mind the Bulls announcers as much as most of you did. All team announcers are homers, nobody annoys me more then Henry and his stories about when he played. The dude acts like he was Micheal Jordan or a better shooter the Reggie Miller. So any announcer is refreshing to listen to other then our announcers. The only announcers that bother me are the morons that still call us the Hornets

But I do LOVE Steph!

Wow, as a Bulls fan, that game sucked. But let me mention a few things, I was very impressed with DJ Augustin. He is going to be a great player in this league (especially if he can act like that). But in all seriousness, he's a great basketball player. And also Emeka Okafor ate Derrick Rose's lunch, that was by far Derrick's worst game of the season. Good performance by the Cats tonight.

Those Bulls broadcasters are such blind homers. How the hell did you not see Derrick Rose hit Augustin on the wrist on three separate replays. That was a good call.

Even more comical they said Augustine shouldn't get that call because he's a rookie.

i mean, I thought it was a bad call, but Charlotte was without it's best player and I didn't hear that mentioned once.

it was mentioned 3 times...only in the form of "the bulls need to beat this bobcats team that is missing it's best player"

I watched via the internet. Not a recipe for super reliable audio. All I heard was them saying we were bad--a bad offensive team and a bad defensive team...which hopefully stung on the flight out.

"They're a bad defensive team"
"You would expect to win by 20"

etc.

Probably because the Bobcat's don't have one of the 10 or 15 Non-Bull NBA-players that he's heard of. I don't mind him saying we are bad on offense, it's true. But the defense has always been solid. Incidentally the Cats are 14th in defensive efficiency and have been as high as 9th (I believe...) while the Bulls sit at 16th. However, I wouldn't expect a honest=to-goodness professional broadcaster to invest the same 10 seconds that I did to look that up.

Or to know what defensive efficiency is. They'd probably just look at PPG and say we're awesome.

Yeah...the broadcasters were homers.

Although the game should have been over after the blown call, the Cats outplayed the Bulls for most of the game. As Bulls fans, we can complain about the call, but there was still overtime.

I expect the Chicago Sports Net announcers to homeout for the Bulls. They have plenty of time to look at some stats about the away team though, so their apparent vast ignorance is pretty unacceptable. Not as bad as the C's though. :D

I hate it when fans complain about bad calls. You have to expect it and win despite them. Again, Charlotte was without it's best player who was missing time because of his father's death. He has hardly played hoops in 2 weeks because he missed games before that due to his grandmother's death. So one place that the homer announcers and I can agree is that the Bulls should've blown us out by 20. They took the game lightly. No more excuses.

So much talk about the "blown call," and nothing about the obvious goal tend just before. Or throwing Bell out for nothing. The refs were bad both ways.

Incidentally I´m not completely sure that it wasn´t a foul on Rose. If he touches his arm at all it´s a foul, and I believe he did touch it on the way up.
