Rather than throwing out trade rumors and asinine scenarios on other team's boards, lets take a step back and think about what this team actually needs. From my perch on the mid-court line and watching the team right last night, I think stability is more important. Diaw is bringing out the best in Okafor. The team runs great with Augustin. Carroll is playing better now that he is the first wing off the bench. Brown has started using a reasonable rotation that plays hard on defense, attacks the basket and goes inside to Diaw and Okafor.
Personally, I would like the team to do nothing. Felton does not really fit on this team, but frankly, whatever we get back from him will not turn this team into a contender this year. I would hold onto Felton and seek sign and trade scenarios after the season. Losing him for nothing is not a legit worry as he is restricted. That is, unless he wants to join Childress in Greece.
Last year's Celtics aside, it takes stability for a team to gel and get better. Let this Augustin-Okafor-Diaw-Wallace group learn to play together. In the offseason, look for an upgrade at the 2 (using Felton or midlevel exception). Use the draft pick for depth inside.
The only pieces I would trade are Morrison and May, if there are any takers. If not, I would let them walk and use the money to get players with a pulse.
Just my two sense.

Re: A Sensible Approach
Pretty much agree, of course that's easy to do after last night's game.
I think CHA should hold on to Felton for this year also. If the Cats want to be contenders they need that ballhandling depth.
I'm still not high on Carroll though. If Bobcats did make a trade I think they should unload at least one of Carroll, May, Morison, or Nazr. Two of them would be great also.
Bell needs to be coming off the bench too, IMO. Upgrade the 2 with the upcoming draft if at all possible

Re: A Sensible Approach
Felton has been long debated and I fall clearly on the side that his best role is as a Bobby Jackson circa Sacramento combo guard off the bench. If we can get sign him to a reasonable contract and he is willing to accept that role next year, I have no problem keeping him. With that said, I am guessing there is more value in trading him.
I just think this is a solid nucleus. They have looked good since the fourth quarter of the first game post-Richardson. This is a team that wants to play the right way and I am willing to let them play together without trying to fit in an Anthony Randolph or Brendan Wright.
It is no surprise that Okafor is playing better with Diaw onboard. He is the perfect compliment. Also, I and others have always believed that you can win a championship with Wallace as your fourth best player, but you are crap if he is your leader. The way the team is shaping up, he is a great guy to have on the wing. Just dont let him shoot outside the lane.
If Augustin becomes a top 10 point guard, Okafor plays like he has been playing this last week, Diaw continues to shine as a high post passer and shooter, and Wallace is the garbage mane, tell me this team is not 1 player away.
Who is that one player? That is the question. Can we trade Morrison for Roy? I will not rehash that subject. Fact of the matter is, this team is due to get lucky and maybe this is the offseason to do that.

Exactly. The trade rumors are insane. Wallace for Brad Miller or Wallace for Collins and MCcants?
How about we keep them. Even Felton. It's alot of pressure to have a rookie pg.
The only position they need to upgrade is the sg and they should build threw the draft and free agency.
May, Morrison, Nazi of course we should trade but your not gonna get more then a second round pick for them
Even Bell our only weakspot of the starters does hold his man down so he is fine for now.
We really need to keep Wallace. It's gonna break my heart if they trade him for garbadge. Im open if we get a real good player in return but I rather keep him.

Re: A Sensible Approach
Bell is strating to play better. He would give us time to find the last piece. I mean it is a pity we can't trade Felton on draft day. And we should develop some depth at PG, ankles can come into play and beside DJ and expiring Felton we are kinda shorthanded with Brown and Singletary not really great options to strart at PG.
May is na expring I guess we are gonna just let him on inactive list until June.
WHO SHOULD WE KEEP, WHO SHOUL WE TRADE?
I would like to keep Augustin-Bell-Wallace-Diaw-Okafor as current core (it is obvious we are not going to trade Bell as he's aq recent addition and I think we (LB really) have him for a reason and it is only a matter of having good games from him, he is the right type for the system). I have no problem with keeping Felton after the trade deadline - see below.
Singletary is a recent addition and we should give him time to see how useful he can or cannot be. LB picked him, so there is a hope.
The same with Ajinça, he was Larry's pick.
Hollins is playing well lately I can't see us trading him. He is in a contract year so hopefully he could be re-sign at reasonable price.
Howard, Brown are ok unless we are upgrading in a multiplayer trade.
May is na expiring and can work only as a throw in if the other team doesn't care about physicals.
Morrison has two years contract, that't not horrible, I hope he will prove himself but I would survive if we trade him. I just wish him to find his place in the league no matter if with us or elsewhere. He is tradable but I don't think we need to put him on trading block. We should give him some time. This is basically his sophomore year and third coach.
Carroll and Nazr have longer contracts and are probably only two we should trading fbecause of their contract. Especially Nazr who is not giving us much. In this case we should use Felton as a part of the package to get rid of at least one of him. We better get some sG shooter/defender in return if w trade Matt.
For me on our tradin block should be:
Mohammed
Carroll, Felton (they are giving us some solid minutes, can live in the system, just their contract are either way costy and long or too short)

You guys know who our coach is, right? He doesn't know what the word "gel" means and if you think he'll turnover a new leaf at the ripe old age of 68 (or whatever) you are mistaken.
As aggravating as it is, trade rumors will persist because Larry will always tinker. Trying to guess what those moves are is part of being a fan of an LB coached team that is losing. If that frustrates you, well, get in line. That doesn't change the fact that its going to happen.

I believe in the concept of trading up, not trading down. Trading up is when you give up two lesser players for a better player. In the Phoenix trade, we traded down, and it appears that it may work be the exception that proves the rule as we appear to be better. However, this supposes that Richardson is better than Diaw, I an not so sure that is the case.
I am for "tinkering" if we are trading up in value. Trade Felton and Nazr/Carroll/Morrison for a better player. Do not trade Felton for two pieces (Randolph/crap) We are already 14 deep in crapola, we need to only be trading up at this point.
