DJ is not a shoot first pg. First off LB has asked him to be a scorer because nobody else can create besides Felton but he'll just miss. Second off the only time he can get an assist or create for somebody like Crash or Mek is if there wide open. He doesn't have a guy to pass to that can just take the pass and go and score. If he passes to Diaw it will just lead to another pass so his assists numbers don't look great.
Also he has to establish himself as a credible scoring threat to get double teams or at least a second man coming to help to open it up for other players. If he was on a team with some real scorers he would be passing alot. Right now we need him to play scorer and passer.
It's because we suck. If Stockton didn't have Malone he probably would have averaged 20.

it does not matter who scores the most points, Okafor is our best player. He just needs to be a little more aggressive.
