Radman In The Observer

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Fri Feb 20, 2009 3:54 pm

Nice little piece on the phenom

http://www.charlotteobserver.com/bobcat ... 49024.html

While four games is no career, the early returns are striking. Radmanovic is averaging 15.3 points, 51 percent shooting from the field and 48 percent from 3-point range.

Contrast that with Adam Morrison, the primary piece the Bobcats sent to the Lakers in this deal; Morrison averaged 4.5 points, shooting 36 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range.

Yeah I'd say the 2006 #3 pick might not turn out so bad for the Bobcats.

Maybe Larry Brown is channeling Red Auerbach? :D

Of the trades we have made since the season started, we have gotten underutilized or UNWANTED players from teams that have excelled in the playoffs. And to date, I am totally satisfied with all of those acquisitions. One thing we have on the rest of the league is an opportunity to grow as a player.

And they are all repaying the Bobcats franchise with their best work in years! Let's take Radanovich for an example. He grew up in a "Work Ethic" environment. He does well enough to get noticed for junior national team. Later he gets signed to an NBA contract. Does well in Seattle. Signs with the Lakers and....uh oh. Lakerland is not such a sweet place to be if you aren't getting a sniff in games.
(Ammo will be finding this out shortly, if he hasn't already!) Become a Bobcat, and he has a CAREER again. (All NBA free agents take note of this fact, please.) What's the point of HAVING a championship ring if you contributed nothing to the championship effort?

I think that our "Mr. Impaler" will have a chance to grow his career here toward winning a championship. We certainly seem headed in the right direction.

Claw on, Bobcats! Make the Magic disappear tonight.
In loving memory of Barbara Hickman Taylor 07/20/1955-11/27/2010. Rest in Peace Sweet Lady!

I told you all that Radman would be a great addition to your team because he's such a deadly 3 pt shooter. He can do wonders for any offense just because of the spacing he provides.
