Re: GT: Charlotte v. Chicago 7:00pm
I was so worried about this game, but with the way the guys played and knowing how important a win was, I truly think they believe they are a playoff team and deserve to be a part of the post season.
I'm very happy about tonights win. More so than any other win all season. I think it said a lot about the maturation of the Bobcats.

Negative, Don't Stop Believin' by Journey is perhaps the greatest song of all time. Also, "I'm on a Boat" (ft. T-Pain) by Andy Samberg.

Not including this game, Felton is shooting a slightly less than acceptable .315 (47 of 149) from 3pt range. He has played in all 60 games. If we assume 1 half court shot every other game (which seems conservative to me) and subtract those shots he is now shooting a very respectable .394.(47 or 119)
Hey, Bulls fan here. Good job tonight by your guys, we were not ready whatsoever.
As for removing "past halfcourt chucks" from the equation, you can do that with NBA hotspots. The caveat is that if it's not past halfcourt, it counts as an attempt, so anything from 33-45 feet will count, whereas I believe it shouldn't.
For Felton, on the year, he is 7-26, 21-57, 8-20, 7-27, 4-10 going from the left to right side of the 3 point line. That's a total of 47-140, so he's really shooting 33.6% on the year. It's not bad, but it's not the 39.4% you'd suggest it to be. Hope that helps. I don't know how many he's taken from just over halfcourt, but you can't just pretend that there aren't a lot of guards who take these last-second shot attempts.

Felton has to take most in the league though. At the end of quarters, he always has the ball in his hands. So taking 40 shots past 35 feet isn't out of the question. It really does seem to happen more than once a game.
He has gotten better as a shooter....his true shooting % on jumpshots was never really that bad, just average....around the rim thats another story.
Trust me, there is a love-hate relationship with Felton on these boards...its a touchy subject, and frankly (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

For me personally, I think his driving and finishing at the rim has by far been his greatest improvement since 2009 began.
He's no longer looking and playing for contact as much, there are very, very few "circus" shots and his timing has improved 10 fold.
I'm so glad he's finally started to work it out because with his ability to split the double and get past his defender coupled with his body strength, he should be unstoppable on the drive.

6% is a pretty decent jump!! If the Pacers and Bucks can drop some games and we can roll the Knicks this Sat night I would think there would be a nice little spike in that % for us again.

Tonight's Bobcat relevant games:
Bucks vs. Cavs
Suns vs. Heat
Celtics vs. Nets
Hawks vs. Knicks
Warriors vs. Bulls
Pacers vs. Blazers
If Cavs, Celtics and Hawks and Blazers take care of business, the Suns rebound from last night and the Bulls fall against GSW, it could be a nice inactive night for us!
