The last 10 games or so he has been playing amazing and the result is a 6 game winning streak. He has been shooting good from the field and been getting 18 a game or so. He is our best playmaker and passer and makes players better. He is our best player when he plays like this and this is the real him imo. He can play in the halfcourt and be an excellent halfcourt pg, he can be an excellent fullcourt fastbreak pg, he is super fast, super strong, can play the 2 like Ben Gorden, great passer and now he is even clutch and is our best finisher. We have lost so many close games or have had teams catch up and win because we can't close. Now we can close with Felts.
Honestly I will catch hell for this but considering so many teams will have money in 09-10 and will be dissapointed when alot of fa's stay so teams will be throwing around money I would absolutely make sure I sign him this year and if that means giving him 5 years at 55 million I would do it and have no regrets. For your best player to average 11 million per is not bad at all.
They should just keep 14 players on the roster and save some money that way plus let Sean May go and save money that way. I would buyout Nazi which saves some money to. I would not sign Juwan Howard also to save some money. Do all those things and you make up a couple mill per and it even's itself out. If they have to overpay to keep themselves in the playoffs for 1 player so be it and if Felts keeps it up it's a discount.

See it costs less to overpay Felton then to not. It would be the same for any of the starting 5 and DJ if they were fa's also. That is why we were willing to take on big contracts like Diop and Radman.
If you make the playoffs you sell more tickets, get more fans. When the Hawks were out of the playoffs there stadium was a ghost town and now they got a ton of fans. So if you make the playoffs you sell more tickets for playoffs then the next year you sell more tickets, so sell the sports stuff at the game and you sell more products like hats and jersey's and then you have free agents that want to come here because you have a good team (fa's always look at the pg's) and you have a winning team and you have a good market.
Like I said before to NC is a huge basketball state. Can you imagine how much money they would make if the Bobcats had the same amount of fans as Duke and UNC. The Bobcats would be rich and we would have players lined up to sign with us. We would compete with the Lakers and Knicks, Heat and Chicage and we would get any players who want a good market but not a crazy one like NY.
Right now we have a market like the Thunder but it doesn't have to be that way. It could be a top 5 market in the league. Felts is the best player and most talented and could be an allstar so like I said many x he needs to get paid and NOT get traded. Wallace to because he is an exciting player. If we can get better without touching those 4 we need to do it but if not stand pat and just add cheap free agents and picks. I don't think we can mess up the draft this time because they have to draft a 2 and let him develop.
