Der, but I'm sayin, it's not like we were playing him at the 2 or anything. I can deal with one or the other. Miss shots but value the ball or turn it over more than anyone else but do that because your trying to feed other players.

Welcome to the board jond - and I agree. Good teams put bad 4th qtr losses like this one behind them and look forward.

Got to bounce back strong on Friday.

So if those two three's go in instead of rattling out, would that be the difference between playing well and horrible?
Humble yourself.

Short interview from LB:

Spurs are a championship caliber team and we hung with them for 3 quarters.

Radmanovic, Martin and Diop praised.

Kiss of death is when Felton and Augustin both have bad shooting nights.

Everyone needs to chill out and realize this wasn't a game we should have expected to win, even considering how the game was neck and neck almost the whole way. We didn't have great ball movement and our bench couldn't match up with theres when we tried it in the 4th. Even with Manu out, there are plenty of great players on their team to pick up his fga. I was actually impressed with our play and thought we played good defense. We just slipped when we kept bell and diaw out and the game got out of reach very fast. It is what it is but atleast all the other games worked to our advantage.

It's not the missed 3s that bother me, I expect him to miss most of those that he takes. It's just hard to take him playing so well lately and finishing shots and revert back to what he was tonight. Thank Jah that Dex isn't the GM and it's illegal to negotiate contracts during the season or we'd be paying 11m/5years for that :D

Agreed. Im not bashing Felton, or atleast not trying too. Just saying that he went back to his old ways tonight.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game, I listened to the last 5 minutes of it on radio (disappointing considering I knew it was tied going into the 4th). Felton has been playing well lately, but he sucked tonight. So did Augustin. Diaw needs to be more assertive and take over the game, it seems like. Him and Wallace are too timid when the rest of the team is sucking.

Vlad Rad shouldve had 10 more shots, the Spurs had no answer.

I understand what you are saying. My concern is not that this wasn't a game we SHOULD have expected to win, but it was a game we COULD have won. We were tied after 3, and fell apart in the 4th. Mason killed us on the perimeter in the 4th. TO's and poor decisions also. But hopefuly they get their confidence back and we defend our home turf successfully vs Houston.

Spurs fan here. I really like where you guys are headed right now. That was an amazingly tough W for us, considering how well you've been playing of late. You guys just might supplant Atlanta as my favorite team from the East. Props!

Well technically every loss is a game we could have one. We just gotta realize what we did wrong and correct on it. Their strategy from the start seemed to force felton to shoot jumpshots and deny our jumpshooters. I don't blame felton, he had to take those shots, no one else was open. We seem to give up very fast when we lose ground in a game. This is partially because we don't have that one super clutch player who won't be denied in the 4th. Bell and Diaw are alright in that category just not super great. Has anyone else noticed that Dj seems to either contribute playmaking or scoring but never both? Frankly I'd rather have his scoring when Feltons out on the floor. If we play like this we'll beat most teams but we're gonna have to play defense and shoot lights out to beat houston imo.

Thanks for the props DB. Spurs are a class organization and their fans are great. Hopefully one day we'll grow up to be like them.

Loss was not unexpected. I think the consternation in these losses to very good teams comes from the weaknesses they expose. That's important because beating bad teams lulls one into a false sense of accomplishment.

Felton has grown quite a bit this season. He did slip a bit in the 4th, but other parts of the team were off as well. Diaw had all of 1 rebound. Yes Crash had 7, but where's our PF production on the boards? Okafor is playing very short minutes these days....why? Does LB know (or believe) he's running low on fuel these days, or does he just like having Diop match up with more size at the 5? Bell had some moments but we're hurting at SG overall.

This team is coming along, but has more mountains to climb.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Hahaha...most Spurs fans take the whole front office/scouting/drafting aspect of the franchise for granted, since our guys have been so good at it over the years. You guys have certainly had your fair share of questionable/wasted draft picks, but you've still ended up with a pretty decent core despite that fact. That's got to count for something!

Mek sometimes doesn't play enough and I think need to give Radman all the minutes that anyone from the froncourt doesn't play except Diop should play a little.
DJ should be playing every minute Ray and Raja don't play.
It's a good 8 man rotation and he has a 8 man rotation but the minutes are inconsistant.

Okafor only played 9 minutes in the first half because he picked up two quick fouls, and Diop was playing defense well enough to not risk Okafor picking up 3 fouls in the first half guarding Duncan.
