Mar 6th Hammers: Bobcats Vs Hawks

Post#1 » by BigSlam » Sat Mar 7, 2009 2:18 am

Image - Boris. Set the tone for the entire game by getting everyone involved while scoring at will in the post.

Image - Felts. Just a well balanced game culminating in an explosive 4th quarter.

Image - EO50. Big numbers in limited mins. Worked hard all game to create good, deep position and converted when he got it most times.

Highlight of the night: The entire 1st quarter. That was just the most amazing Bobcats basketball I had ever seen.

And I agree with Slam, that 1st quarter was possibly our best ever.

Was I watching a different game then you guys?

The Bobcats almost gave that game away because they couldn't close. They had a posestion were they couldnt score in 2 minutes or so. Raymond Felton then took over in the 4th quarter and like a perfect LB pg he had 10 assists and got his team involved all game and then closed it out in the 4th.

1.Felton
2.Wallace
3.Diaw

Mek had a pretty good game to. He should always be getting at least 17 but he didn't do as good as the top 3.

I'll go with this too.

That 1st quarter...WOW. We just couldn't miss.

HM - Raja...his D vs. JJ in the first half was just beautiful. He started trying to switch to Felton later in the game because he just couldn't do anything against Raja (and he didn't have a whole lot of luck against him).

HM #2 - Mek. I thought he played Horford pretty well...and I had no idea that Horford could put it on the floor like he did on one drive.

Awesome game to see live...and the guys didn't force me to drive the 3 hours after a loss!

I have been thinking carefully about Bell and what he brings. A guy that is that good at defense and he is a top 3-6 wing player defensively and he deticates the game to D. With that said he averages 13 points and on top of that he lowers the oppositions 2guard to around 5 points lower then average or at least makes them shoot a lower percentage that might be the same value of a sg then averages 17 points.

That is just a theory but what do you think?

Absofreakinglutely. Toss in Boris' point/forward skills which gets all our guys such great looks (making up somewhat for not having that 22 ppg scorer) and it's working great.

Plus that defensive attitude is very contagious.
