Emeka Okafor Fantasy League Question

Post#1 » by BlackIce » Thu Mar 26, 2009 12:11 am

Hey, can someone here give me an overview on this guy if they have time? I am in a league and I drafted him to anchor my team defensively. Is he worth the 9 mill contract? Is he as offensively challenged as people say he is? I know about him, but I assume you guys know this guy inside and out. Whenever we face you guys G-Force kills us, but meka...not so much. Did the Larry Brown + playmaking F in Diaw take his game to another level?

Get rid of him. His FT shooting will kill your team.

Defensively, there's not many better big men in the league. He's going to get 10 rebs a game pretty consistently. Gets about a block or two, not every game, but quite often. He also has really quick hands, maybe the best for a big man, when it comes to knocking the ball away down low. But that doesn't show up on a stat sheet too much.

Offensively, considering it comes down to other people passing him the ball, he doesn't always get as many points as he should. LB tries to make sure the offense goes to him but he's usually around a third option. Still he gets a double double regularly. Don't count on him getting more than 15 or 20 points very often.

no it isn't a fantasy leauge, its a CAT draft thing, where you draft players and stuff and go up against other teams, with writeups on your team, and there is a salary cap, etc.
I've seen you on the trade board, help me out give me the low down on this guy.

The only Cat worth drafting is Wallace. He is the only one who is consistant. The rest are to inconsistant to draft.
Maybe DJ next year.
