I just realized how ironic it is that LB picked a couple of good scorers whose main weaknesses are on the Defensive side of the ball in Lex and DJ. (given his rep as a "defensive coach") I guess he believes in his ability to teach them.

Yep they gave him credit where credit is due. Coming off the bench and making the All Rookie 2nd Team is a good accomplishment along with All Offensive Team. Congrats to him. You missed Lexy he's under Quickest player to pick up fouls.

Greg Oden still owns that category. But Lex is likely in 2nd.

Is it bad that I just don't see it with D-Rose? Maybe I just didn't watch him enough.

This is going to be an interesting class to watch grow. Should be fun.

We should of/could of had the defensive rookie of the year and all-rookie first teamer (BROOK LOPEZ), along with another defensive all-rookie player and 3rd team all-rookie (MARIO CHALMERS), on this squad. Glad DJ got some pub, and it is well deserved, but it doesn't hide the fact that our draft could have been much stronger.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Damn bass....No disrespect, but do you have a program that automatically logs on and posts that we should have drafted Lopez and Chalmers every time there is a new thread about Augustin or Lex?

If so, you should program it to mention Chris Paul, Danny Granger, and Andrew Bynum for every new thread about Felton or May.

Every new thread about Mek should mention Igoudala and Al Jefferson.

do you see my point? every pick can be second guessed

I'm personally not 100% sure who will end up being better between Lopez and Augustin or between Lex and Chalmers. But even if it tuned out to be a sub-optimal pick, there are plenty of those from every team in the NBA, and DJ and Lex are hardly wasted picks.

I KNOW...I KNOW...!!!

Sorry,..I stopped my therapy, so it spurted out again. I'm a history buff, so I tend to dig deep into the past. I certainly don't forget it, as it tends to impact the future.

For instance, read the history of modern fascism in Italy, along with details on how Hugo Chavez came to power and keeps it, then check out the national news for the latest actions from our government. Notice anything?
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

What I don't understand is why did it say Lopez was a surprise. He was mocked top 2-5 and slipped. Nobody was surprised he would be this good.
Screw Mario Chalmbers anyway. Who cares if we could of had him. We have Felton and DJ. Were set at pg. We should have traded for Roy Hibbert instead of Lexi. That is worse then DJ over Lopez because at least DJ is good.

I was more pissed off we went with Lex after making a deal for #20. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't see anything in that guy. He's a walking pencil.

I really wanted us to get that guy from Kansas, Chalmers team mate. He dropped quite a bit and ended up being a good pickup for Memphis.

Any way, back on topic.

I'm glad that after a very solid and impressive rookie season that DJ is being rewarded in the media.

Just a taste of things to come - I hope!

I don't think LEx is an nba talent.
